HOKAY- I HAVE A SORT-OF GAMEPLAN (Pun intended)
I've been putting together a general to-do list for the alpha 0.0.1 or whatever build of this game, and I think I have a cohesive list of the bare-minimum base game mechanics. I decided it's going to be Freddy's Green Room, and then the "final" alpha build will be all of their green rooms to make sure I can handle that. But for now, these are the requirements I have for a functioning, first alpha build
Interactable items with set dialog
Interactable Freddy with randomized dialog pool
Pickup-able items and a basic gift-giving mechanic
One or two basic ass looping music tracks for the background
A small menu with the ability to change music volume and keybinds (no save/loading features)
The first build of the game will have no customization and will have no way to load/save your game. This will come with the first beta build that I'll probably open applications for and then release to a few people outside of my immediate friend group to bug-test.
I also had the idea of including a staffbot in the vent room of Freddy's green room, but I don't want to promise that in case it's a bit too much for me to handle at the moment. I'm trying to set realistic standards for myself and my experience making a game.
I'm still very much a newbie when it comes to coding in general; but I like to think I'm learning fast!
