I can’t stop thinking about what turned out to be some of Hannan’s last lines from last episode: promising to help Vaelus bring her family peace, imploring the party to take this more seriously, and then scolding them for not telling him Mara was in danger. Only for him to then die, mostly due to very bad dice rolls, but also in part because of the very things he was harping on them about: not telling him sooner, not giving him all the necessary information, and playing it fast and loose (although he could have made different choices with the information he had as well).
Unfortunately for Hannan, the dice decided that he, Teor and Cyd would be the reason the party learns the lessons he and many other NPCs have been trying to hammer home. And unfortunately for me it only makes it hurt more 😭
