April shrugged. "It was alright up until then. Really, work parties are never that great." She smiled, and gently brushed her shoulder against his.

"Woooahhh did ya have sex?!" Mikey grinned widely. He started to inch closer to her overly excited. He could be a very nosy turtle when he wanted to.

"No, Mikey." April rolled her eyes. "I meant that a couple people got a little more hammered than I thought they would."

"And you would make an awesome one, Mikey." She smiled, then sighed as she put her phone back into her purse. "Just make sure you have commitment. Jobs like that take a lot of it."

"No, work." She said it like she had tasted something horrible. "I know I said I came here to get away from it, but they've been blowing up my email recently. It's horrible."

April laughed softly, eyes crinkling around the edges. "Thank you, Mikey. You're not looking so bad yourself." She grinned again, then looked back down at her phone.

"Have you been eating too many burritos again?" she asked, grinning. "Looks like you've gotten a little round there." She took another sip of her drink. "Not that I mind, I was just noticing, that's all."

"Wouldn't dream of it." April replied, going to sit on the couch while she scrolled through her email messages on her phone. She noticed that he seemed a little rounder this time around, and wondered if he had been shirking his training.

"I needed a break from work, thought I might visit my favorite guys." She smiled, walking into the kitchen to grab a soda from the fridge. She couldn't help but tap her foot in time to the beat of the music, humming softly along to the tune.

April grinned, walking further into the lair before setting her bag down by the couch. "Sure you weren't, Mikey." She winked. "Is it just you here?"
