#this issue makes me really mad because the reason it’s so common and no one is doing anything about it is#1) gun control. especially with more republicans in power they would as charlie kirk said accept some gun deaths every year to keep their#right to own guns#and 2) anything wrong in a family is considered a private matter#like the community is just not supposed to call things out#actually kind of relevant to a thing happening in US politics right now with this guy max miller#currently under scrutiny bc of abuse allegations from his wife (including that he abused his toddler) and I wish I could remember the other#guy’s name but there was another republican politician being asked about this and his answer was essentially that it’s a family matter#he was like I don’t know about all that stuff but that’s a family matter and I’m wishing his family the best#that’s basically just. the general vibe about this kind of thing#super duper preventable and yet! and yet.
