No no, you’ll be great. It’s only for a few days. I love the sentiment Pip but it’s much better if you do a quick rip home and assure Mom and Dad that everything is fine and well here. It’ll be good for you too, to head back and have a nice little vacation. I have Meredith coming to share the day with me so everything will be fine, I promise!

“Good for me.. yes I can’t wait for all the questions with underlying worry and the follow ups making sure I’m still mentally sound. Being at home isn’t a vacation, I’d give so much just to remain here. But yes, I’ll do what I can to assure our parents that things are fine. I’m glad you aren’t going to be alone though.

And what does normalcy and routine look like for you?

“Well at home, even when I was still in school my routines would differ a lot. Studying has always been a passion of mine, but studying math and science is wildly different from studying D/s in any aspect.” 

Kinda like Hermione Granger! I wonder if that’s why she liked rules, maybe that’s one reason. Yeah, I think you just have to tread lightly, you don’t want to ask someone to divulge their whole life history if they’re not ready. But I understand your worries. It can be scary to try new things that you don’t know if you’re going to be good at it or you might just be learning still. I think that’s why the school is important. Everyone is still learning, that’s why we’re here! It may be intimidating now, but you still have time!

“Yes, I guess that would be a fair comparison. I mean Harry and Ron frequently talked her into breaking them so I suspect that she didn’t love them as much as she claimed. Yes, thats true, and well at least in my case, I’m quite alright not knowing my parents entire life story. With other students here though, if they do open up that is nice, sort of a vote of confidence. I just don’t want to take up anyone’s time or disappoint them when I have so little to offer in ways of life experience to begin with. And I guess you’re right, everyone is still learning but it seems some here are way ahead of the curve.. but I guess the point is to lean into the learning environment. I guess I do. Maybe at some point, or with some one, it won’t be too intimidating.” 

We absolutely did. And I bet things have started to look up since then, right?

“I mean for the most part they have. Its nice to get back to some semblance of normalcy and routine, though neither really compares to anywhere else.” 

Yeah, I think there’s always a reason for rules. I’m not one to try to disobey them or question them. Yeah, that’s kind of how they were with me too. Do you mind me asking what you find scary about it?

“For sure. I really like rules. They’re helpful, lays the lay of the land, makes things less complicated. Its kind of odd isn’t it? Because you don’t really want to ask them details about their experience here, yet thats kind of the key to feel similarly. Ahm no, its fine. I guess my trepidation has a lot to do with being very inexperienced, and the combination of not knowing and being nervous of doing something wrong makes it all.. daunting.” 

I don’t believe that will be necessary. The issue has somewhat cooled now, and I am ready to move on with my writing and my life. However you haven’t provided me with your name so I have no way in which to properly thank you for your attempted help with the matter.

“I’m glad to hear that its calmed down, though sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Oh right. Its Pippa Schuester. But there really is no need to thank me. Like I said I’m always happy to help, with whatever really.” 

That’s a good point, I’m not here to get you in trouble, promise. That’s what my parents said, but I’m glad I can hear it from someone else that isn’t as invested in my future. Oh yeah, and I am up for both work and experimenting.

“Oh no I didn’t think you were Miss. Sorry I’m just kind of a stickler for rules I guess. Mine too.. they really had nothing but good things to say about this place. I agree though, its different hearing from someone else. I guess you’ll come a long way here then. I find the experimenting part scary though.”

“It really did. The night was supposed to be fun and light yet it turned a little more dark than I personally am comfortable with. But we all got trough it, didn’t we?” 

“It’s not a problem. It’s just like, super important to me. Like I refuse to use leather, unless it’s pre-owned. But it’s nice to meet you! I’m Lulu, I’m a Switch!”

“I’m not well ahm.. versed in those kind of stores I have to admit. Is there a difference in the leather when its used? Its very nice to meet you too Miss Lulu. I’m Pippa, first year submissive.” 

Oh that’s alright, but thank you for correcting. Miss is fine, I don’t have a preference of anything else. Yeah, very conceptual. I meant as a Switch, but that’s tied to my identity so yeah. That’s what I meant.

“No thank you for being so graceful about it. I just wouldn’t want to be disrespectful or break any school rule. Miss it is then. This school is without a doubt the place for you to find your true potential. Though from what I’ve heard it requires a lot of hard work and experimentation.” 

I was told explicitly not to bring food so unfortunately this advice is not going to help me though I thank you for your input.

“Well I said flowers too.. but ahm, if you’d give some more details about the person you’re trying to make up with I might have some other ideas. Of course, I’m happy to help.”
