felix:
felix could sense the wariness of the male on his left, one of the reasons heâd avoided mentioning exactly what they were doing to begin with but clearly failing on that front. he smiled reassuringly though and nudged the elders side. âitâll only take ten minutes. hey, iâll even buy you candy, popcorn and a slushy for the wait. thatâs a good deal, right?â he winked, fingers tapping away at his phone before guiding them to the target location. felix sighed silently under his breath, glancing briefly at yeosi as they approached a small driveway. âdonât act suspicious, ok? just be yourself, donât ask questions and follow my leadâ well.. just stay by my side and youâll be fine.â knocking three times in a bold metronome felix relaxed his shoulders and greeted the shaggy looking man on the other end when the door swung open; answering the questionable look heâd receive with a âheâs my friend, we were on our way to the theaterâ. felix was quick to take his usual spot on the couch, patting the spot to his left, farthest from where the dealer would sit. licking his lips fel waited patiently as the seller disappeared into the back, presumably to bag the freshly dried leaves heâd texted him about, doing his best to avoid having to look at yeo; knowing he would probably be glaring judgingly at him by now. after all felix had never really talked about his drug use with the male, despite them being best friends.
for some reason, he couldnât ignore the knot in his stomach  â despite seeing just how eager his companion was. held the kind of enthusiasm that would have seemed so much shadier had it not been for his standard, chipper behaviour. yeah, thatâs way too good a deal. âso whereâs the catch?â he faked relief. it was the mildness of his friendâs address; that had him so boneless and pliant if only for a few minutes. so easy to be bent and follow, and scan the fingers typing away leisurely. it hadnât cross his mind that felix, of all people; he was dishonest. and it was that warning which shrank the blacks in his eyes, and his throat tightened as he muttered, âbeing myself goes against everything else you just said to-â it was then the unkempt stranger presented himself and yeosi felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand and prick at his skin. he hadnât realised that heâd clung to felixâs sleeve as if he were drowning. the taste of dust and sweat lingered heavily in the room, gradually growing heavier on his tongue. he could only follow, and sit when instructed. like a puppy; burning holes in the back of his ownerâs head and waiting for his approval. it was the first time he felt something so akin to what heâd known from others as fear. heâd acted it out enough to know the signs; like palms sweating and chest heaving. his jaw had dropped and throat gone sandpaper dry. heâd look away, had felix dared to turn â to see what trust was left in him s h a t t e r.
