Synopsis: Calahan, a renowned bounty hunter only needs one last job to retire rich. He sets his eyes on a world class conman, Johny the Grifter, who goes from place to place swindling old people out of their money. Enter, Johny Down a hard working farm hand who has been mistaken as the infamous grifter. Try as he might he just can't convince the hunter that he's not the thief, but that's not even the worst of his plight. An outlaw from Calahan's past starts pursuing the pair. Life, death, love, revenge. What fate awaits the "grifter" and hunter.

⭐ My thoughts: The unique, cartoony art style suits this western very well tbh. Sometimes the art reads a little weird but that's part of the charm. And the plot is just as unique, trust me you're gonna think you know how this story goes and you don't. You really don't.

Ahhhh, I wish there was more. The story is eventful but tragically short. Johny is so bbg and has Calahan whipped before Calahan even knows happening.

Also the epilogue?? So romantic these two and their pupper deserve a happily ever after.

Can they have a happily ever after? What will it cost? As secrets unfurl and people conspire tragedy may be the only ending the two know.

⭐My Thoughts: I FUCKING LOVE THIS MANHWA. In fact I love it so much that I suggest you read it twice, it is actually so tragic how much is foreshadowed. (I want to add before I get into actual stuff, that the world of this story is very fucked and Ahn murders (tbf most justifiable) A LOT of people but the developing relationship is so good ur kinda like "damn, anyway".)

The art? Beautiful (there is a hefty focus on man tiddies 100/10). The story? There's not a whole lot of focus on the actual world of this manhwa because it's mainly about the twos relationship BUT it's so good. Anh's character has so much depth, from everything with his mother and brother to how absolutely in love he is with Beum. And Beum??? Unexpectedly cunning but such a big softy who's absolutely in love with Ahn. My words cannot do their love and characterizations justice, maybe I am slightly looking at this with rose tinted glasses but I think this pair and their story have a quality you don't see in a lot of these yaoi manhwa.

Song Deok is an unsung MVP(bro was working triple overtime to make sure the couple could be happy?? Goat behavior.) Eun-hoo and Soon also have my respect, you glorious children 🫡.

Small Note: I noticed in the first couple of chapters that the relationship was definitely meant to be wayyy darker (think a certain doctor abuser) but the author(s?) segued into a much lighter relationship quite nicely. Which is MORE than fine with me 😭🙏. Also I will say this story is HEAVY on the smut but it's done in a way that it doesn't manage to be overbearing.

⭐ My thoughts: ITS SO BEAUTIFULLY DRAWN (I seriously don't understand the hate the artist got). The story, the science, the emotion, it's all so good and the illustration does it so much justice.

This one will break your heart in the way that everything is portrayed so realistically hopeless but I find that refreshing. The plot is deep and twists, there are consequences, and it doesn't hold punches. If you want a deep plot with slow burn this is the one.

(I am absolutely in love with An Zhe and Lu Feng ♥️)

Small note: This manhwa is adapted from a complete 2 part light novel series by the same title! I really wish I could read it but for now my review is only for the manhwa (no spoilers for the LN!) (first image is official art I was too lazy to make a collage)

Although even when Kasumi is told the truth he sees another, the one that isn't a lie.

⭐ My thoughts: This same author as Bride of Ignat SO you know the art is absolutely gorgeous!! The plot is also a lot to think about because it's heavy and heartbreaking but it's also cute and soft between the mc and ml. It's short and the ending had me in tears, I wish I could read this again for the first time 😭. Although the epilogue is very cute (Satoru is such a good brother to Kasumi).

Definitely check it out if you liked Bride of Ignat!

Coincidence after coincidence Yeomin becomes convinced that the man, Taeseo, is a debt collector. Meanwhile Taeseo believes he's being spied on. Fate seems to keep them circling each other and eventually the misunderstanding is cleared, but the relationship that is left is built on a one-sided, superficial lie. What will happen once Yeomin knows the whole truth? Will he move on? Or will Taeseo find he just can't let him go?

⭐ My thoughts: Taeseo is a major ORANGE flag BUT unlike a certain other mc I don't think he'll go beyond just being an asshole. Now ik we are all traumatized from he who shall not be named but we must judge characters separately (or not u do u). I think the angle of Taeseo's character is an emotionally stunted manipulator but he's not really malicious he's just a "player" (like he doesn't lord over Yeomin), and considering Yeomin is self aware and not a total innocent uwu cinnamon roll it's just adults making adult choices.

The art is beautiful and the story is interesting (a little tragic). I definitely had some reservations at first but with some of the light hearted moments I think this one will follow a not so bumpy route.

⭐ My thoughts: I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS AND ITS HERE!!!!! So far it's interesting but some plot points aren't very clear yet (ie what is the deal with the "zombies"?).

Synopsis: Living in a sketchy area and in an even worse home Kim Euihyun wants to run but finds he can't leave his little brother to rot in such a place. Working around entitled alphas isn't possible when even Euihyun's boss wants to cop a feel. Defending himself but ending up in trouble with the mob, Euihyun decides death might be a mercy for him and his brother. Before he succeeds, Yeo Taeju pulls the brothers out of the ocean. Although he quickly reveals he is no angel in disguise but rather a devil who will make Euihyun pay a debt that isn't his. Is salvation worth the hefty price or will the ocean yet swallow Euihyun and leave his brother alone?

⭐ My thoughts: This one is a doozy, the art is pretty and the story is well written. But tbh it had me in tears, Euihyun suffers so so much because he cares about his little brother more than himself. (Mad respect on Euihyun, poor guy goes through hell just to take care of his brother, like I actually love his character so much)

It's comparable to a certain other manhwa with an irredeemable love interest BUT I will say you can at least see a why to how Taeju is "forgiven". I don't think the author aims to excuse Taeju's actions for full redemption or even give a moral justice to Euihyun but the author does show a depth to Taeju i haven't seen yet. Taeju is written to realize he's horrible for Euihyun and has done such tremendous harm to him that he needs to leave Euihyun alone, despite how much he loves him. Of course in the end Euihyun wants him but it was nice seeing Taeju try to remove/fix the problem (himself) earnesly.

I would've really liked to see what the ever after was and how the trio moved forward but the end is satisfyingly melancholic. Tragically good but at least Euihyun and his brother can finally be happy.

Note: There are supposed to be epilogue stories in development, I haven't seen them posted yet.

No matter what Seo's wet cat personality will clash with Baek's sturdy resolve, although maybe that's just what they both need. A turbulent adventure of past drama, budding romance, and those who try to stand in the way follow Seo and Baek at their heels.

⭐ My Thoughts: One the socially challenged black cat (who can blame him when life "spritzes" him with water constantly?) the other a protective but outgoing golden retriever <tiger> (knowing his past you can see why!). Both as different as night and day but maybe not so much. A cliche to be sure but I actually think this one does it in a very fleshed out way like you can understand why these dudes are the way they are. (Which is so good 👏)

The art style resembles a certain shonen anime but it's pretty and unique in its own way (some very meme-able moments). The story had me screaming, "omg I need these two to get together" 😭. I will say towards the end it seems almost rushed? You lose some of the side characters/stories to focus on the main couple which is fine! I liked seeing them be happy (finally 😩). This is definitely worth reading if you want an emotional rollercoaster!

⭐ My thoughts: Ngl the art might make or break you on this one but I came to enjoy it because the story was enjoyable. The relationship develops quicker than I thought it would BUT it's nice to see characters just be happy beyond the extraneous problems.(I'm really interested in how these "extraneous problems" get sorted out) I would love to gush and gush about how cute Lily is and how much Jess adores him...So let me- Nah actually this one is very cute, I'm excited to see the drama unfold in season 3.

Note: I will say it's a hybrid/shifter abo situation! (No bestiality happens)(it's not really seen to often)

Synopsis: Working at a convenience store located in mob territory means Euijoon gets a lot of grief from the local gangsters. Enter, Geonwoo a top dog who puts the unruly mobsters in their places while also becoming enamored with the pretty cashier. Where does one draw the line when in love? Can Geowoo have his cake and eat it too? Maybe if he's stubborn enough....

⭐ My thoughts: This is a beautiful drawn manhwa that doesn't try to dissect the morality of being a gangster but rather tries to understand the difficulty of loving one. Geonwoo's love puts Euijoon at risk and eventually it all comes to a head in a rather heartbreaking way. Which makes the story all the more compelling especially with how the characters try to handle things in a realistic adult way.

Geonwoo and Euijoon are too cute 🤌. I love their characterizations so much and highly recommend this to those who want a bit of angst before a satisfying end.

Small note: Geonwoo is often referred to as Ahjussi (which is how to refer to a significantly older man than you in Korean), in the translation I read it could be a little weird because sometimes it was written as "uncle" so beware Ig
