Obsession

well nowadays I have an obsession to draw nod krai characters in slavic fairytale book style

Thor: Season One - Loki The thing about this photoset that was interesting is that there was no quote that really went with it.  There are a lot of great lines of dialogue, but none that really stood out about the way Loki presented himself.  The most I could come up with was Fandral’s line about how Loki was like a moon outshone by the sun and even that wasn’t really about this. It’s entirely in the art and the underlying characterization of Loki having feminine aspects in the way he presents himself.  And I think maybe that’s why I liked it, in conjunction with how we’re supposed to find Loki beautiful and intriguing and with his own agency.  I liked it because it never was presented as being bad, aside from the possible assocation with a villainous character. But that villainous character is also one we are supposed to find actively intriguing and beautiful and sympathetic and beloved, in his own way. Ultimately, for me, it read as a character that I’m supposed to want to read more about and that Loki is Loki, he does what he wants and looks how he wants.  Nobody—not in Asgard or in the narrative—really seemed to give him shit about that, so I’m pretty onboard with this.
