*Non-judgemental but Still Very Aware Gaze*

Kira Yukimura:

Some fans hated her for replacing Allison (white) as Scott's love interest when she is Asian. Other fans reduce her to a cheerleader for their m/m fics.

Kira is so sweet and starts out feeling awkward and out of place but grows in confidence as the show goes on. But she also struggles with her inner kitsune and its violence. She left the show too soon!

Buddy Armstrong:

Buddy is the one girl left in a world where mysteriously every single woman died/disappeared. Her adopted father, Brad, mostly keeps her in a basement to protect her from the world and also forced her to learn to kill from a very young age to be sure she can protect herself. She's later kidnapped and Brad goes on a bloody rampage to save her over the course of which he kills the other (less abusive) adoptive fathers she had, attacks her while killing his own abusive father and so on and so forth to the point where the climax of the game is Buddy rejecting Brad as her father. Despite this pretty much everything I see in response to Buddy are things like "What is Buddy's problem?" "Why is Buddy so ungrateful towards Brad?"
