See I don't really know what answer you want from me because it feels like my options are

1. "say yes as a defensive over-correction, speaking of white people in the third person in order to distance myself from the discomfort of knowing I am part of a group which benefits from the systematic oppression of other races while continuing to benefit regardless, effectively changing nothing while obsolving myself of whatever shame might actually motivate me to address those same systematic issues, in a way that really does feel like the racial inequality equivalent to that 'what's up fellow kids' meme"

or

2. "say no and come off as though I am declining to acknowledge the impact of racialization on those affected by European imperialism who are forced outside of the imaginary box labeled 'default average human', who we have constructed in the public consciousness to reflect a thin, neurological, able-bodied straight cis caucasian man, who is overwhelmingly the dominant form of representation in basically all media in this country"

but the truth is that being a part of a majority population that reflects the ruling class is very, very easy and very, very comfortable, so much so that it really isn't something you conciously notice until you start paying attention, and once you DO start paying attention you realize it is also very, very weird, in a way that you want to address but at the same time must be careful not to speak on too loudly, at the risk of talking over those who actually have the experience to comment on it themselves in a meaningful way and instead positioning yourself- AGAIN- in an unearned seat of authority, this time twice as patronizing and with the added smokescreen of the 'white savior' image that mostly just exists to make yourself feel better, like getting on a plane to take photos with starving orphans in Africa and then coming home to vote against building a new soup kitchen on the downtown east side
