i put pieces of god in things like summer, the clouds, my hands, a mantis, a sunflower. and i find pieces of god in places i shouldn't but do so anyway. and i'm always picking them up by their sharp edges. my fingers are always bleeding but i am always collecting; collecting as many pieces as i can find — as many as i can bear to hold — as many as i can bring myself to bury in the hope that i find them later when i have none.
