| 🔪 |  { Kataka could not recall the last time she’d been brought              to her knees... yet, there she found herself. One hand clutched              at her chest, attempting to suppress the growing agony and              nausea that twisted her stomach. 

                      Maybe... maybe it was time.                           Maybe Benri wasn’t worth all of this                            any longer. }

He wasn’t exactly paying attention. Walking along with hands tucked into pockets, and head hanging forward. Raven bags shrouded over hs features and eyes as he moved along. Lifting a leg to step over a curb he paused mid step upon hearing the voice of another.

Head would raise slowly, peering through single oceanic hue, staring directly at the woman whom was speaking in his general direction.

“Not exactly–” He replied with his own sharpened words. “Don’t recall having needed one the last time either.”

| 🔪 |  {Slowly, Kataka turned toward him, brows creasing into an unamused frown and darkening glare. The goddess was hardly expecting to see another person here.... This stranger’s presence could interfere with her work, and she had no desire to leave duties uncompleted.}

      {His voice was hardly more than a whisper, laced with         bitterness and loathing toward his bloodthirsty master.               No doubt she would be stung for this.                   No doubt he would be disciplined for                   this “unacceptable” behavior...           But, the regalia could not find a reason to care about such            threats, now.}

| 🔪 |   {The unexpected presence caught Kataka’s attention and            caused her glance over, brow lifting in mild interest.}

                       “---Have you a reason for coming here?”

| 🔪 |   {Of course, the goddess couldn’t be bothered to offer a           simple greeting to the shrine’s visitor... nor would she              grant them the courtesy of looking toward them as she spoke.}

{Benri couldn’t force himself to meet Hiyori’s gaze as he thrust his arm forward,   offering a small bouquet toward her.}
