Let's talk about cannabis. Coming from the fact I grew up in catholic school with the constant thought that weed was the devil, I never had a chance to understand. I was predisposed to hate it. My families legacy is in addiction and I knew I never wanted that for myself. My lack of knowledge even led me to vote against it when I was only 18. It HAD to be the evil "gateway" drug. As I've grown and separated from toxicity and terrible ideology, my mind has opened in beautiful ways. I feel sometimes I let my self suffer with chronic illnesses for years without ease because I've always refused any pain medication. I was wrong. Cannabis has done more for me than I could ever imagine. I've never had a drop of alcohol. I don't use any pain medication and have always refused. I have never smoked cigarettes.
