After being in Utah for 6 months, I forgot how terrifying it is to drive to extreme heavy rain.
I was driving on the highway home from the grocery shopping. The rain was coming down so hard that I couldn’t see, so I had to pull off about 4 times to wait for it to calm down.
I’m used to driving in the rain since I’m from the east coast, but heavy downpours still terrify me. I’m just glad I didn’t hydroplane.
It took me about 1hr to drive home, when it usually takes 30min. Thankfully I had just bought snacks from the grocery store. So I could eat to calm myself down.
It’s been raining all day, and the air quality is still really bad from the wildfire smoke. And I really want to be outside, but can’t.
