I’ve spent the last 4 days learning Japanese hiragana. And it surprisingly wasn’t too hard. I’m a visual person, so it’s pretty easy for me to find something in the symbol that reminds my brain was the romaji is. And then as I keep quizzing myself, my brain doesn’t have to rely on my visual trick to remember. Instead it just remembers, because I’ve been repeatedly studying them. I probably only spend 20-30 min a day studying, but it’s a great way to challenge my brain.

One of my life kind goals is to learn all kinds of languages, and Japanese is the main one I want to learn because I love anime and the culture. The ultimate goal of course is to learn conversational Japanese so that I can travel.

Went on today’s hike with no intention of getting to the overlook. I didn’t think my body was up for it.

But when I got to my planned stopping point, I decided f-it, and just kept going up.

I’m proud of myself and my body for hiking up to cool places.

My goal is to hike 35miles total this summer. I’m at 22miles currently, so I’m well on my way to reach my goal.
