General Descriptions

Physical: By default, Avery presents himself as depicted on his ref sheet: a tall, bespectacled humanoid with a cloud-shaped head. His skin is translucent with a texture similar to human skin, albeit a bit more silky, and behind that soft barrier rages the power of a hurricane! With its epicenter in his belly, Avery's "internal storm" fuels a host of abilities that make him a force to be reckoned with; he can change the size and shape of his body, conjure cloudlike hands and objects, and harness speed and strength to rival the fiercest cyclones on record. Fortunately, this cloudman is as gentle as they come.

Personality: Avery is from a hidden city just above the mesosphere called Cirropa. They are a peaceful, sociable race that is slowly dying due to the pressures of climate change, which interferes with their reproductive process. In my main canon, Avery is the gifted scientist trying to save both his people and humankind -- despite their contributions to the problem -- from extinction.

While the burden of his purpose does weigh heavily on him, Avery is a tenacious optimist who chooses to believe that, not only can the world be saved, it is worth saving, and he feels a sense of duty to contribute all he can to the task. Naturally curious and possessed of an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, when he is not buried under climate research, he's usually engrossed in personal research instead. He is exceedingly polite to guests, dedicated to friends and endlessly devoted to lovers, brimming with sincerity to the point that irony is lost on him at times. He can be a bit shy around new friends -- and sometimes existing ones, for that matter -- but if you can coax out his playful side, he will do everything in his power to make you smile!

Bonus info for Sea & Sky AU: Even though it is a separate universe, I tend to think of my Sea & Sky AU as the aftermath of LRPD -- after Avery saves the world (because, come on... you already know he succeeds!) This version of Avery is a bit older and more relaxed than his canon self. Much of his personality and hobbies are the same, but I tend to draw/write him chubbier, more open, and more settled into domestic bliss when I'm in the headspace for his AU.

Boundaries

I have two types of boundaries for my characters: basic boundaries that apply to all of them, and boundaries that are specific to each. If you read and abide by both types, you are welcome to use my characters. I would be honored if you did!

No genitalia or sex.

No bigotry of any kind.

I love a teasy ler, but please don't be insulting or demeaning to my characters, I am not into serious bullying or humiliation. None of my characters would act this way, either.

No horror, gore, or physical injury of any kind.

Any of my characters will give a raspberry to a lee who likes it, but none of them like to receive them.

Feel free to draw/write your OCs with mine! Unless otherwise discussed, I will assume their relationship is friendly.

I am open to the following, but if you want to do these, please talk to me first.

Using my characters with your villain or horror-themed OC.

Using my characters with canon/fandom characters, i.e., not OCs.

Bondage that goes beyond basic wrist/ankle cuffs or pinning.

Interactions that happen between my characters, i.e, Casper interacting with Avery. My character dynamics are something I'm a little protective over, so unless we are good friends, please run it by me if you want to depict them doing things with each other.

As a lee: He does not curse or swear. Avery's skin is very sensitive, so soft tools like feathers, brushes, and fingers only, please. He might call his tickler a troublemaker if he's very flustered or caught off guard, but scoundrel is his worst "insult", typically hurled through a bout of hysterics!

As a ler: No special boundaries as a ler, feel free to do whatever you like as long as it abides by the basic boundaries!

He's a bit too shy to ask for tickles, but he won't refuse if you offer, especially if he is tired after a long day of research and knows he could use a good laugh. He can be a little squirmy, but the keen eye will notice it's never with real intent to escape!

Favorite spots: He really loves it all over! Under his head, under his arms, his belly, and his feet are all favorites.

Most ticklish spots: Under his head is Avery's most ticklish spot, bashfully dubbed his "special" spot. Tickling there will be rewarded with his most hysterical, booming laughter! Given that he usually floats/"moon walks" instead of walking normally, his feet are all silky, untouched softness and are also wickedly ticklish. Although not as ticklish as the aforementioned, his swirly navel is a close third! Laughing hard will cause Avery's head to shoot off harmless sparks, make his face flush blue, and bring happy tears to his eyes.

Bondage: The only bondage that can hold a Cirropian like Avery is that which is magically or scientifically designed to hold them; they can decrease the solidity of their bodies, allowing them to "phase" through objects. His ler may not even know this, though -- Avery won't try to escape from restraints while being tickled, even if he can!

Note: If you are into One Piece, Avery's body works similar to the way that logia types do (Smoker is the best example.)

Flustering him: Creative wordplay really gets to Avery, especially if it's weather-related, IE: "Awww, you're laughing up a storm for me!" Much as it embarrasses him -- especially as an intellectual of his caliber -- silly teasing like kitchies, cootchies, and tickle tickle tickles also get him helplessly giggly and keen to hide his face.

Ler!Avery

Avery is a natural-born scientist and academic who spends much of his free time researching for pleasure. Psychology is one of his favorite subjects, and he will use that against you! If your OC's race is a common one, it's likely he's already familiar with their physiology, too, implicating their possible tickle spots... And you know he isn't afraid to test a hypothesis. 💙 He can sometimes get a bit flustered as a ler, though, if his lee is very vocal about enjoying his attention.

In practice, Avery is a very gentle tickler whose primary goal is to deliver the best possible tickling, custom-fit for his lee. If they are not able to communicate their preferences directly/explicitly, he will study their reactions and adapt his techniques to whatever they enjoy most, so lots of scenarios are possible with him! Here are some examples:

If you like to be chased, he will wiggle his soft fingers at you, narrow his eyes, and whisper that he's going to get you, and you'd better run~! He'll give you a head start, and then scoop you up the moment you dare to look back, giggling with you as he tickles.

It should be noted that while all of his relationships are committed, they involve diverse boundaries and dynamics and should not be "compared" to one another.

Avery's parents are both still living and he is quite close with both of them! His mother, Joyce, is a professor of natural sciences while Ray, his father, is a lifelong tradesman who never touched a machine he couldn't fix. Avery does not have any siblings, but his childhood best friend, Ingrid, is something like a sister to him. He is one year her senior.
