I've seen headcanons about post-canon Nagito with the Warriors of Hope but part of me has been wondering about the Komanami headcanons in the same context or rather it's because of you that I've ended up on the train of thought of Chiaki interacting with the Warriors of Hope ngl so as the inspiration I've been wondering about thoughts, though can also be for the worse like Despair Chiaki since you've been thinking about that lately

For me the warriors become a very 'it takes a village' children (tho komahinanami become the de facto caretakers, mainly Nagito) but like I imagine everyone takes part in raising those kids. They ARE a handful. Komanami post game tho....
Well I guess this goes into my 'komanami as parents' hcs here. I've mostly imagined them in this context with an infant (because I always hc that Chiaki has Nagito's baby first...shush I like baby plots) but with the warriors...hmm...
See, here's the thing. I don't think Chiaki is NEARLY as good with kids as Nagito (or Hajime for that matter who would de facto become second dad.) Not that she doesn't LOVE them, she does. And I think the warriors would gravitate to her and think she's so so so so SO so cool (and PROBABLY one of the boys would've watched her tournaments/her streams and are like big fanboys who think it's stupid how she gets critizised in the gaming world for being a girl and the best gamer ever ANYWAYS) but she doesn't exactly have the energy levels that caring for and watching over five hyperactive (and highly traumatized) kiddos would require. She absolutely would think of fun games for them to play, like, all the time, and would make gaming tournaments with them regularly to wear them out (and I love the idea of her getting into little pranking wars with warriors vs remnants with her on the side of the warriors) but far as discipline or just hte usual maitenence of raising them she's probably not the best at it. Not her fault!!! Kids are hard work, like HARD hard work and while she would put in the effort for those babies she's mostly following Nagito's lead here.
I do think that Chiaki would be one of the FASTEST adults that the warriors would grow to trust. She's absolutely harmless and soft. I can imagine she'd be one of the ones the kids could trust to cry on if they needed it. (I especially think she'd bond with Masaru and Jataro. Especially Jataro. She's prettier than his mom and so so so so so much nicer. Adds Chiaki to the list of people that very much wanna strangle Jataro's mom. But less violently. I don't know how you less violently strangle a person but whatever MOVING ON-)
I mean. She probably COULD discipline the kids. Maybe. Well she'd try. And probably fail a LITTLE. (only because she is not scary. Chiaki has a net-zero threatening aura. They would probably be more inclined to listen to her on most days tho, probably even more than Nagito depending on the vibe. Oops.)
Also Chiaki is perfect to snuggle post nightmares. Like. Nothing bad can happen when you snuggle into plush gamer mom. Even while you're probably rambling to your pathetic malewife dad at the same time. Because he's the one who gets it. Chiaki....can't really. She hasn't experienced The Horrors that those kids have, and there's a certain disconnect...but MAN oh man will they learn they can trust her. (Plus the fact that Nagito loves her so so so so SO so much puts in a lot of work to letting them know she's a good adult. They really do just rely on his judgement of character at a certain point. He's usually right.)
Sorry you asked about Komanami and the warriors post-game but it all just kinda became about Chiaki. Tbh I think I've rambled about Nagito and the kids enough that y'all probably get it at this point. Nothing would really change with Chiaki there other than now the Warriors have a mom. (And Hajime will step up because literally there are four (later five) babies he is not NOT going to step up to look after them oh my god the warriors are actually the REMNANTS kids as a collective do you understand they belong to ALL of them okay okay okay okay okay-)
Oh, right. Kotoko will probably do wonders about making Chiaki more girly, but she's mostly neutral about it. Tbf Kotoko gives makeovers to Nagito too and he is ALSO neutral about it. They are both incredibly null about dressing up more femme so their daughter can make them Totes more Adorbs. Gender Neutral parents to the max. (they just let her do whatever she wants forever)
Monica is her own Thing. A very big Thing. Mostly because I see her coming MUCH later because she separates from the others (and from Nagito, who spends a good chunk of time looking out at the distance wistfully wishing his daughter would come back home) She's definately the prodigal daughter in this equasion. I like to imagine that she comes back after An Event and then Nagito gets custody forever (fuck you Haiji)
I'm not entirely sure how her and Chiaki would mesh. She's probably like a tween by the time she shows up on the island, and I know she's going to be Difficult. She's super brat. UBER brat. It's going to take a lot of Stuff before she starts behaving. I'm pretty sure she's still like mega in sisterly love with Junko (but it's Complicated Now) and so she'd pull the whole YOURE NOT MY MOM on Chiaki in several occassions. Honestly this feels like something I'd need to write out to figure out for sure because it's MEGA complicated. (Hell, her trusting Nagito to be her actual dad is ALSO complicated and takes an entire Event. I doubt she will call anyone her parents even though they are. Worse than Kotoko, who never calls Nagito dad. Because she has a dad already okay) Anyways Monica complicated. Big big complicated.
Chiaki is probably also one of the few people who can get Nagisa to go to bed during a study spiral in less than an hour. (She is Very Good at enforcing bed time without effort. :))
