Oritsunagumono: X-Ray Origami by Takayuki Hori

Takayuki Hori has created this stunning series entitled ‘Oritsunagumono’ (translated as ‘things folded and connected’) which is a collection of origami works designed to highlight the environmental threat of pollution to a number of species native to Japan’s coastal waterways.

Digitally reErased de Kooning, Transparent PNG, 2012 Chadwick Gibson

Recently an image was released by SFMOMA, via Tate’s Gallery of Lost Art project, that was an infrared digital reconstruction of the untitled drawing by Willem de Kooning that was famously Erased by Robert Rauschenberg in 1953.  I have digitally erased this reconstruction, to return the piece back to it’s “original” state.    

This infrared digital reconstruction of the drawing which became Rauschenberg’s Erased De Kooning is part of the Tate’s fascinating virtual exhibition, Gallery of Lost Art.
