Well, not vacant enough then. She stayed where she was, holding up her hands, machete still gripped in one of them. “That’s not a nice way to greet someone new.” She says, her voice seemed soft but the danger and threat were still there.

Footsteps tapped against the wooden floors as she slowly turned to face the other. Blue eyes didn’t even recognize the one standing before her.

“I don’t want to fight.”

IT WASN’T HARD TO PICK up the tone being directed at her. she wasn’t surprised to hear it either. honestly, she expected nothing less. “ maybe not, but it’s necessary. ” riley tried to keep her voice steady, but she was fatigued and wounded. she could only hope that the stranger didn’t try anything. she didn’t know if she could handle a brawl.

THERE WAS SOMETHING...FAMILIAR ABOUT the stranger, but riley couldn’t QUITE place them. for all she knew, she was imagining things. “ i don’t want to either, ” she admits, but she keeps his gun pointed at the other nonetheless. “ ... why’re you here? ”
