The exclusion I see if from a very clear place of transmisogyny. That transfems are only welcome in sapphic places if they adhere to femininity, which is bullshit. A trans woman does not have to adhere to any fucking expectation to be respected as a woman. She can have short hair and facial hair, she doesn’t have to wear skirts, there is not a reason in the world we should expect some heightened level of femininity from them that allows them to deserve the respect and dignity of having their gender identify accepted.

If you find it hot when a tme butch exhibits masculinity, but not when I trans woman chooses to do the same, you have a clear bias that needs to be examined.

I’m happy I’m butch, I like the culture of it, I like how it influences my identity and personality. The key rings and carabiners, whooping from friends when I pick up a power tool, it’s fun! And none of these things are “what it means to be butch” it’s a lot looser than that.
