Follow the March Hare

Shouto nodded.  “I think… I would like a change of clothing,” he murmured, tugging at the collar of the shirt.  He stood up to explore the safehouse, eventually finding the stash of clothing.  Shouto dug through the pile before finding something that was about his height.

“So… erm, who else uses this place?” He called, hoping Rabbit didn’t get up to help.  He had been drained from the blood loss after all.

“League members in general- this one is mostly Mari-chan, Tomu-chan, and I.” He had TRIED to stand, but when the world started spinning, he’d thought better of it.

His fingers threaded through the green strands, humming quietly in response.  For some reason, Shouto seemed comfortable right here, in this moment.  Even if he were still stuck in his costume.  It felt right for some reason.

“I like how that sounds,” he admitted.  “And it was a good idea, after all.”  Shouto stopped for a moment, then his face reddened from embarrassment. 

“Wait, I’m sorry,” Shouto murmured, suddenly standing.  It was reactionary.  “I…I just started stroking your hair… I’m sorry.”

“Hm? What do you mean, Triple Point?” He tilts his head.”Are you overheating in that outfit? Your face is going all red...”He’d never seen the other overheated- frozen, sure, but he was usually careful with his flames.

Oh.  Shouto’s eyes widened as Rabbit leaned onto him as he finished wrapping.  He smiled, softly, running his hand through his green locks.

“You can call me Triple Point,” he murmured.  “I’ll take it as my villain name… because you made it.”

Oh.

OH.

“Y-you took that name because of me..?” He looks up at the other in surprise.”Really?”

Smiling, he decided to give it a new try. As a name, not a joke.

Shouto’s eye brows raised.  “Hm? Gentle? Yeah, he was a villain.  What about him?”

Shouto went straight for the bathroom, looking for a medicine cabinet.  It was then he got a look at his face; the blood trailing down his chin.  He frowned at himself.  This is why no one messed with us…

He scrambled to retrieve bandages and ointment then returned to Rabbit in the chair.  Gingerly, he put the ointment on to clean the wound before bandaging it.  His touch was gentle, much different from the normal, bloodthirsty murderer that he was.

Shouto blinked for a moment, then realized that he did, in fact, have Rabbit still in his arms.  He gave a nervous smile before slowly letting the other back on his own two feet.

“Sorry,” he murmured, the convincing tone all but gone.  Shouto seemed embarrassed by this entire night.
