Good Samaritan [Peniel & Kwangmin]
âN-not at all!â Kwangmin quickly protests, shaking his head slightly. Then again, considering the way he had acted just now, all annoyed, it was no wonder the other would feel this way. But also, it wasnât Penielâs fault that he didnât know Kwangmin was a shaman. Now Kwangmin felt like the real jerk here. âIf anything, you offered to help me â thatâs not being a jerk at all,â he offers a small smile, guilt pricking slightly at his conscience.
He mirrors Penielâs actions slightly, picking up his cup of hot chocolate as the older boy picks up his snack. Heâs about to bring the cup to his lips when Peniel speaks again. Kinda relate? That could mean so many things and it was sending Kwangminâs head spinning. Kinda relate as in Peniel often had people coming up to him thinking heâs a psycho? Kinda relate as in Peniel was also a shaman? No, that couldnât be â then Peniel wouldâve seen the spirit as well. Then⌠was he a mutant? Kwangmin quickly looks up upon realizing what the other is trying to hint, and heâs about to ask him what powers he had, but decides that thatâs probably not the best choice, considering how the older boy seemed to be skirting around the topic. Penielâs next words confirms Kwangminâs thought process, and Kwangmin nods, leaning back in his seat as he sets the cup of hot chocolate down. Peniel was right â plus, Youngmin has always been nagging him about being more cautious about revealing his powers to others and about anti-mutants lurking around. Perhaps Kwangmin was just too excited to find another mutant, but he inwardly chided himself, nevertheless.
Kwangmin grins sheepishly, nodding in agreement as he digs into his chocolate croissant. âYeah, youâre right.â He finds that itâs not so awkward with Peniel now, after clearing that misunderstanding. âSo how long are you going to be in Sori,â this time genuinely asking, and not asking for the sake of alleviating any tension between them.Â
