Welcome to The Legend of Zelda 歴史AU (RekishiAU), a historical Zelda AU which explores how the world of Hyrule could look like through the lens of Japanese and Chinese cultures.
About
Set during the events of Breath of the Wild, the Hero of the Wilds wakes up in a world that is on the brink of destruction by Calamity Ganon. In the face of the end of the world, the Goddess Hylia sent down the spirit of the legendary Hero of Twilight to guide and assist the Hero of the Wilds in his quest. The disgruntled spirit strikes an offer with the hero: in exchange for his help, the young warrior must assist the spirit in gathering all the broken shards of the ancient relic known as the Mirror of Twilight. Tied to the will of the Goddess and the fate of the hero, the two heroes, past and present, travel around Hyrule (and eventually the Twilight Realm) to unravel the mysteries of centuries long past. And perhaps, the true nature of the Triforce.

《黄昏章ー来なかった春》 A Chapter in Twilight: The Spring that Never Came
《自他》: An exploration of Wild's dissociation of identity
《人殺し》: A stylistic and exploratory piece on Wild's morality as a hero :)
Spirit Possession: a silly comic of Twilight possessing cuccos as a spirit (and terrorising Wild afterwards)
Questions about Death: a short conversation and glimpse into Twilight’s thoughts about his own death (cause he’s a spirit aka he died)
《师生》: On the grief and gratitude between Time and Twilight, as teacher and student.
Surfing: A comic for the lols in which Wild learns the hard way that he should probably believe his guardian spirit’s past experiences, no matter how insane they sound.

Other Notes:
This AU has strong references to Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time. It also has a sprinkle of funny moments between the two protagonists (Wild and Twilight), who is also dubbed as the "braincell duo", courtesy of the lovely people who supported the AU back in 2021.
I'm mostly active on Instagram, which has... quite a bit of content on the AU. I'm also trying to figure out how to use Tumblr, so it'll take some time for me to compile everything. Feel free to look at my Insta page in the meantime.
