imagine Vox as like a televangelist with a big following and an even bigger amount of internalized homophobia and religious trauma. Vox comes down to New Orleans to gain more followers and he just becomes absolutely bewitched by the local reclusive and charismatic radio show host Alastor. Vox eventually manages to befriend Alastor, and also gets on a local television channel that's just started up. at some point Vox finds out about rumors of a local cannibalistic serial killer and he's so intrigued by that that he starts investigating it himself (why not branch out from televangelism into journalism??). aaand then of course eventually Vox comes to the horrifying realization that the killer is in fact his bestie Alastor who he's maaaybe kind of in love with..... and then idk what happens after that, decide for yourself
