Minerva: I'm sure we will!

Minerva: I actually do have something I've been working on.

Minerva: What are you going as?

Isaiah: I guess we'll both have to wait and see!

Hearing her words, his cheeks heated up a bit and he smiled wide. As she seemed to stutter over her words he couldn’t help but think about how cute she was. “I’ll keep it in mind.” He commented, giving her an easy smile as he responded. Walking with her, Max was careful to match his stride with her as they moved. “Cotton candy is great, so we’ll definitely have to get some! And maybe some funnel cake.” He continued, now thinking about the different snacks that they could find. “It was always a terrible idea in the end, but so much fun in the process.” Max laughed. “Oh, see, I can’t tell you that. It’ll be a surprise.” He mostly didn’t want to tell her just because he wanted to surprise her with what his costume was. “But I did want to ask, because I wasn’t really sure if us hanging out here meant we would go together to the dance or if maybe you had other plans, or you know…” He was stumbling over his words, but he really just needed to get his question out. “I just wanted to see if you wanted to go to the dance with me?” 

She was embarrassed, always tumbling over her words when she was around Max. She wished she could just make some sense but he made her all jumbling, excited. “Funnel Cake sounds great but only if we can get the one with strawberries on it.”  She rolled her eyes playfully as he mentioned he couldn’t tell her. But her face did deepen in color, when she heard him ask her to the dance. Roxanne’s heart started fluttering and she bit on her lip. “I--I don’t have other plans and I would love to go with you, it would be so much fun, I would love to go. Yeah, totally, absolutely.” She rambled on and started twirling her hair around her finger quickly. “But you still won’t tell me what you’re going to dress up as?”

“Do lizards usually eat ice cream? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Although, I can’t say I’ve ever really interacted with lizards before.” He commented, letting his shoulders shrug a bit. Hearing her offer, Malachai perked up a bit and smiled, giving a nod of his head. “Yeah, I would definitely be up for that!” He commented with a bright smile. He wasn’t sure what it was about Evelyn, but there was something about her that just made him… smile. “We can definitely try at the games. I’ve never played them before, so I can’t promise I’ll be all that good at it.” 

“Hmm, i’m not sure. But Pascal and Frog seem to love ice cream so i’ve never really thought about it before.” Evelyn shrugged with a hum. His answer only made her smile grow. “Great. Who knows maybe you’ll have beginners luck and win all the prizes. Or maybe you’ll just be really good at them.  But the question is do you have good aim? Cause a lot of these games you have to have good aim.”

“I don’t know if I’d put money on that or anything. We always have to have someone help me when it comes to make up and hair. Otherwise I’d be no make and hair in a braid.” She commented, sure Scarlett was more than away of it at this point. Talaith was never one to be much into hair and make up, but if it was for Scarlett she was willing to do it. It was honestly kind of weird what she was willing to do for her friend. “I’ll go grab them before we get ready for the party, you can pick whichever one you think will work best.” Talaith sighed at Scarlett before speaking again. “Alright, well I’m going to trust it’s nothing crazy.” Listening to what she had to say, Talaith honestly couldn’t think of anyone else she would’ve been getting dressed up for. “Honestly, there isn’t anyone in this town who has caught my eye. Or if they have, their words ruined it.” 

“I mean to be fair, I also have people doin’ my hair and make up so, you ain’t alone in that. I just pay attention so I can know what I’m doin’.” She laughed lightly, only teasing Talaith. “Nothing crazy but I am more then sure you’ll appreciate it.” Her mind wandered for a second wondering if the person she may have wanted to impress would be there. But apart of her also thought about how he might not care. It was a quiet thought and one she quickly dismissed. “So their might be someone but they went and opened their mouth. Honey that’s most men. Put their foot right in their mouth and still try to talk.”

Minerva: ...

Minerva: ...

Minerva: A date? With me?!

Minerva: Oohhhh that wasn't supposed to send...

Minerva: Ignore that please...

Minerva: But yes! That honestly sounds great.

Isaiah: Wonderful! We're gonna have so much fun!

“Oh yeah! I’m perfectly fine. I mean, not the first time I’ve fallen, right?” One of his traditional goof laughs busted out as he tried to block it, but there was no way to stop a laugh like that. “Cotton candy sounds great. We’ll have to grab some while we’re out here.” He commented before moving with her as she walked. “That fair was always amazing. I remember PJ and I used to always see who could survive whatever coaster they had that year the longest. Usually I lasted longer, but it was never a pretty picture in the end.” Max thought back on, letting another laugh out. “Yep! Got my costume all set up and everything. What about you? Have a costume picked out?” 

When he laughed Roxanne turned a bright red. She just thought that laugh was so cute, so sweet, her smile widen and she nodded. “Nope. It’s not but it’s okay. You can fall on me anytime.” If she could be anymore red she would have, her features panicked and she let her hair fall to cover her redness. “I mean that like, it’s like.” She stuttered over her words and bit on her lip. “I just yeah. Cotton candy is great. I like the pink one much more then the blue one. Something about the pink cotton candy is just much better.” She laughed softly. “I bet, especially after all that fair food, I’m not sure how long I would last at all.” She nodded. “I do. I got it a few weeks ago and I can’t wait to wear it. What are you wearing?”

“Yeah, I think you and I both know I’m going to need as much help in those departments as possible. And if it’s got room for a thigh hilt, just let me know. I’ve got a few.” Talaith replied, giving a proud smile as she took the last bite of her pretzel. A groan sounded out from Talaith as she looked back at Scarlett. “Fine, but I’m not happy about having to wait. Not that it will make a difference for me, but I still want it to be known.” Her brows closed together as Scarlett mentioned Talaith wanting to impress anyone. “And who would I possibly be wanting to impress? I don’t even like most of the guys around here. Besides, I’m not getting this dressed up for anyone but you and me. Because we’re going to have a blast.” 

“Oh i am sure you’re more then talented to do everything on your own but then again I’m pretty sure I own like five times the amount of make up and hair products then you own, that’s a fact.” She rolled her eyes. “Of course you have a few. Bring them and we’ll see which one matches the best. I will not have clashin’.” She shrugged. “Gotta be patient. It’s nothin’ big but I figure you’ll appreciate it.” Shaking her head the blonde look around at the all the people. “Well I don’t know. Maybe there is somebody, maybe there’s someone who caught your eye. And you can dress for yourself and still impress someone who’s lookin’ That’s also a fact.”

“Oh okay.” He replied softly. He wasn’t sure what he was feeling right in this moment, but he knew that there was some excitement about seeing the girl in front of him. His brows furrowed for a moment before he saw Frog poke out and a laugh escaped. “How could I ever forget about Frog? Is he enjoying the trip?” Malachai asked, sure Evelyn would have an answer for him. “No, I’m actually alone. I figured my siblings wouldn’t want to come, so it was easier to just come by myself.” 

“I think he is. He wanted to get some ice cream later on but that’s it.” Frog nodded as if saying she was right. When he mentioned he was along she felt a sort of flutter run through her. “Oh, well since we’re both here by ourselves, do you wanna hang out with me? My dad told me not to play the fair games cause everyone is trying to con you but I think I wanna try play and win a prize. We can try to win something! And then get ice cream.”

Minerva: Hello!

Minerva: I'm sure I have an answer for you.

Isaiah: Well I was wondering if you wanted to come to the Halloween Party with me?

Max had wanted to go to the fair with Roxanne, mostly because it sounds like the perfect place for them to hang out. They had been spending a lot of time together lately and he felt like he didn’t want that to end. He knew he didn’t. Trying to make his way through the crowds, he was thankful for the bit of height he was given as he easily saw her standing a few feet in front of him. Waving back, he hurried through the crowd of people, finding himself tripping over someone’s foot, and stumbling his way towards Roxanne. Arms out, his hands held onto her arms to try and stop himself from fully running into her. Stable once again, he smiled a bit and let out a small laugh. “Sorry about that. Swear I got my dad’s balance.” He commented. After a moment he finally dropped his hands and looked around a little. “So! Where do you want to start?” 

She gasped lightly as she stumbled towards him steading herself when he stopped himself. She placed her hands on his arms to help him and smiled. She let him find his balance and when he dropped his arms she moved her hands back to her side. “It’s okay, are you okay?” She looked around and shrugged. “Lets start this way and see where it takes us. Plus I think I smell some cotton candy this way and I do love some cotton candy.” She turned on her toes and started walking. “I’m really glad that they’re having a this, I kind of miss of the fair back home and all the pumpkin patches and stuff. And I’m excited about the party. You’re going to the party right?”

One thing Talaith did constantly was snack. Some joked it was the bit of anger always burning in her or that she was constantly moving, but either way, you could always find her with snacks on hand. Slowly picking apart a giant soft pretzel, she listened to Scarlett and slowly nodded her head. “I have a feeling that we’ll have to get ready together. I honestly don’t know what you have in store for me, but I trust that it’s not going to be anything outside of my comfort zone.” She commented. “And what’s the surprise?” Talaith asked curious after stuffing another bit of pretzel in her mouth. “And why do we have to make an entrance? I feel like I’d love to go to a party and not make an entrance.” 

“Well course we can get ready together. I’ll do your hair and make up and everything. And don’t you worry about what you’re wearin’ You’ll be able to hide a sword in the outfit somewhere I promise. Or we’ll get you a thigh hilt and you can wear a dagger and threaten all the trash men.” She hummed happily. “Tali I can’t tell you the surprise cause that would ruin the surprise, you’ll just have to wait and find out.” With a loud sigh and groan Scarlett huffed, “cause we have to. we’re not there to win a costume contest were are there to show off how pretty we are. simple as that. and if there is someone there you want to impress then honey trust me they’ll be impressed.”

Malachai had never been to a fair. He honestly had never heard of one until they started to advertise for this one. Hearing about all it had to offer, he made his way out there alone. Even alone he was still able to have some fun and enjoy some of the things they had to offer. Before he could think of what to do next, a familiar blonde was standing in front of him and he jumped a little before speaking. “Hello.” He replied with a small smile. “Are you enjoying the fair? Did you come here with someone?” His questions came out faster than expected. 

Evelyn grew up going to all the fairs Corona had, her favorite was the one on her mom’s birthday, the tradition of the lanterns still carried on even when she returned. But she was excited to see what this fair had to offer and to see Malachai. “I just got here, so I haven’t really looked around yet.” Shaking her head though she smiled brightly. “Of course I came with someone.” She laughed. Frog poked his head and moved to see the boy and gave a sort of squeak as a hello. “I came with Frog. But it’s just us. Did you come with anyone?”

Isaiah: Hey!

Brigitte had been completely lost in what she was working on. Her computer screen had a spread sheet open as she tried to piece together the plan to help her brother. It wasn’t going to be hard, but she wanted to make sure it was perfect. However, the sound of a male’s voice brought her from her thoughts and she jumped up off her chair. “Oh! Sorry!” She called out, closing her laptop and moving from behind the counter. “Honestly didn’t even hear the bell.” Brigitte commented with a small laugh. “But I can help you. What kind of flowers were you looking for?” 

 He smiled and waved it off, “I just wanna make sure that I wasn’t storming in and the store was closed.” He looked around and noticed how vibrant everything was. “Well honestly I don’t know. Everything is in such full bloom, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a flower place like this. I mean to be frank I haven’t been to many flowers places we have different flora and fauna where I’m from.” He shrugged. “But I’m looking for something for my coworker. It’s her birthday tomorrow.”
