Alex McCarthy, US Editor of talkSports, shared the below screenshot of the ringsidenews instagram page. The image is a meme of the Sonya Deville stalking situation, in which Daria Rae Berenato, ring name Sonya Deville, was almost a victim of kidnapping from an absolute creep on August 17, 2020. In his tweet, McCarthy said “Ringside News can fuck off”. Ringside News has, from what I can see, since deleted the post, however the fact that it was even posted is absolutely disgusting. The “meme” in question:

In a response to someone on Twitter, McCarthy said: “I’ll delete the post later because the ‘joke’ shouldn’t exist anywhere, but rather than ignore it I want people to know what kind of people Ringside News actually are. That’s how we’ll come to cut out low life stuff like this.” From what I have seen, Ringside News hasn’t addressed the post. I will update this post if they ever do.

Actual queen. Charisma, in ring talent, innovation, absolutely entertaining, fun to watch. She has been so underappreciated for the company and the fans for a long time! She has been in the company for more 10 years and she doesn’t have the respect she deserves. I think my only problem with her is that I would love for a more solid character. Like, I understand the Glow Queen gimmick, but I would love more complexity in it. Maybe her cutting a promo talking more about her, about her legacy, about her goals... if they give her the tv time, they could do a lot more with her. She deserves it and we want it, give us what we want!
