a little phenomenon that's been pissing me off since I started reading writing resource guides when I was sixteen, especially infuriating if it's a big alphabetically sorted list with "addict" and "alcoholic" right at the top. consider whether you would so easily list "has depression" or "is traumatized" as character flaws and then mayhaps do not do what is pictured above. I worked hard to foster and grow all my catastrophic personality flaws since I was but a wee babe and tbh it's insulting to ignore all of that in favor of me just so happening to also be an addict... like I'm not "talented" I lichrally practiced.
