The biggest thing I learned working on Wall·E, is that when you decide to take dialogue out of the equation, all of the other elements that go into communicating to the audience in a film, the lighting, the acting, the music, and what the camera’s telling you, they have to fill in that whole. It’s like a whole thing that has to be working. It has to be complete, for a film to work.
