Something about being in receptive, amiable company took the edge from her person–those terrifically high walls that were sometimes impossible to surmount. Reminding her it was fine to laugh, to be something other than a statuesque woman consigned to bearing sins and doing so unmarred or by stain. “You might be surprised. Sometimes, I hear as many amusing tales as I do grim ones.” At the very least, the vodka was helping her loosen up, despite having barely a thimbleful. Lunafreya supposed the ludicrously small size of them helped some.

She settled back with a another shot, comically nursing it with wrinkled noses with every portion instead of downing it as was supposed. “I remember one when a family came for healing. They had the most darling little girl–little more than a babe. She met Pryna, and it came to her eventually riding Pryna like she was a Chocobo. It was too precious for words,” she recollected with a small chuckle, laughing into her fist as was proper.

     That was good to hear, good to hear that even in the darkest of times, the oracle during her healing of the people could find some solace, even if it was rare. At least now she could fully relax, drinking to her hearts content, to what he hoped would be without worry, for that was the main objective of alcohol anyone. Letting loose and having fun with oneself. 

      ❛ I’m more of a fruity kinda’ guy. ❜ he’s that guy; the kind to go and sit next to someone and start chatting them up and either end shoving a broken chunk of glass into your kidney… or just be genuinly interesteedin your day ! he swears     he’s perfectly harmless tonight ! four margarita’s in and the conceptual entity would love to give some FIRE to his assortment of fruity drinks.

      ❝ Is that so? ❞ It seems he was willing to joke alongside him, which was a relief for him really, for Nyx was tired of being the only one having fun with his remarks. ❝ Not sweet usually, so take advantage. ❞ He gave a suck of his teeth as he looked over at the bottle then back to the gentlemen, no real hesitation in having him join in on the fun, especially if it’s with alcohol.

Hackles raised, for it was instinctual that the barrier the Oracle presented forth to nigh everyone reared defensively at the suggestion of openness and the proud, defiant beast became bewildered and cornered like a small thing antagonized to run into the tightest, most vulnerable corner bearing fangs and puffing feathers and tensed to strike. Lunafreya’s jaw clenched before relaxing, sighing a little too loudly. Easily excused as acclimating to the sharp sting of vodka. 

Of which she intended to imbibe in strictest concentration, for indecorous behavior was against all principle. “I doubt I shall require much, Sir Ulric. Just a tad,” Luna explained with a nod, wondering how much a tad really was. Freedom–it was dizzying. Even in something so…routine, mundane. “What would you wish we speak of, then? …Mm, I suppose if you wouldn’t nod off, those I heal tell the most fascinating stories. Happy ones, even.”

Even if most of them were grisly recollections of how this family member died, or that friend went missing, or their estranged uncle became a daemon. She sighed on a shudder. “I think these stories might suit us best. Lest I dampen the evening with some droll, dark tale.”

      Another laugh against the rim of his glass as he slowly let the liquid pour into his throat. Nyx was a good listener despite what most people thought. He quite liked to indulge himself in stories, for anything was better then listening to an endless list of complaints from ungrateful citizens or the voices that mocked him in his own head. ❝ I’m sure it would be interesting to hear tales from your healing rituals. only if it wouldn’t dampen your mood. ❞

Drunk sentence starters

     Yes he admitted this was his own fault for letting himself be so careless, but even still Nyx was never good at accepting help. ❝ I’m fi..ne.. Gemiya... ❞ Clearly he was not. It was one thing to lose track of how many glasses of bear he was partaking in, but it was another to try and train after he did so. In his defense he was drunk so, clearly he didn’t know what he was doing.

          As she tried to gesture him to sit, Nyx tried to help himself by reaching for his weapon. In doing so he almost lost his balance and fell right on his face. Good thing Gemiya was keeping a good watch on him for she catch him before he would reach the floor. Without question she placed his arm around her shoulder, guiding him to his room where she said he should finally rest.
