There are so many way’s to do the same thing in programming. Sometimes you pick one and are completely dedicated. All is flowing smoothly. Then you hit a brick wall. You realize it won’t work this way and now have to choose another method. Oh well. We learn and we grow.
Robble has so far been a great learning experience for me and I am enjoying learning so much while I make it. The overly simple mechanics can be used in such creative ways that honestly, the possibilities for expansion and growth in the game are endless. I hope it’s enjoyable for more than just my own kids.
Currently I am working on adding additional visual cues on colors and numbers. For example, Showing the name of your color, in this case white, and saying “White” when you start. Then changing to each color as you change in the map. The same will be done for the numbers.
There is enough setup to offer a core game and do expansion later. I hope to have a large game released all at once but there is that pesky deadline. While yes I could always move the deadline, I don’t want to let that become a common practice. I need to start so many other projects as well.
With the holiday (Christmas for me) season around the corner, things will go eerily silent for a little bit as I spend time with family. When I return to development, I should be in my new office and be able to dedicate time without distraction.
