as someone who is on the spectrum, I was actually like as a passing thought thinking he might be on the spectrum but i did not want to draw to any conclusions. Only for him to mention it.
So, I'm not going to tag this because Eddie's going to always rant about something or the other, this is ridiculous what I just wrote lol, but I personally feel like Autistic people can find one another like a superpower, and I think YOU ANON have a superpower, so I draw all the conclusions all the times LOL (more specifically when I meet people in person, usually happens at work because I work with a lot of people, lots of co-workers).
ANYWAYS, there's some science starting to happen to start to support this.
Here's an article the University of Edinburgh put out explaining the experiment in more plain text, and here's a link to the scientific article by the University of Dallas.
Basically, they did a study with Autistic people and non-Autistic people and did some experiments with them regarding sharing information in a group of people, similar to the game telephone but with more science. They found that people in groups of only autistic people were able to communicate just as well as groups of only non-autistics, and there was some more issues communicating between mixed groups.
You might have seen some attention grabbing headlines about this, and THE CAVEAT that everyone will/should point out is this was a group of 300 autistic people, SO theoretically for scientific purposes you'd want a bigger group than that BUT this is a rather new study so hopefully it will be recreated a few times to get some more data.
