I just finished editing A Walk with Joy. It was a relief that I got to finish it before March 30, that was the date when I finished it last year. I was a little competitive of finishing it three days earlier. 

March was like the book I edited, it gave me a whole rollercoaster ride. But it was fun. I tried writing again. I gathered all my thoughts. God knows how many story I had dumped in my drafts. Soon, I hope I could share it to you.

Will start, editing Sincerely, Yours. I don’t know how long I will take before I finish it because this story is also emotionally draining. It has a crucial part of me sooooo... yeah. 

I’m looking forward to post a new story soooon. I don’t know. I’m entering college so, I really don’t know. Wish me luck.

Took me a while before writing here again. (Muntik ko nang makalimutan na may tumblr pala ako ksksks) 

Anyways, writing update! I’m currently editing A Walk With Joy because I promised myself to edit this story in the first quarter of 2022. Regarding this, I did a major major major revision of the whole story. I removed some scenes and added some different scenes. I also put Gela and Joy’s confrontation and edited Oli and Joy’s first and second confrontation. I also added some characters which I assume you did not expect to be there hahaha. 

I conceptualized the story when I was 16, wrote and finished the story when I was 17. As I was rereading the story before, I noticed some immature responses which made me cringe. One factor why I decided to edit it. I also want to have a clearer conversation between Joy and her dad. They both deserve to have it which I did not include in the original storyline. I don’t want to spoil anymore. I suggest you read it once I finished editing it! 

Moving on, I postponed writing the third book of my trilogy because I didn’t think that Everything In Between is an overall emotionally draining story. It was like the story itself is gaining all my strength. Although, I already started it. I might just continue it after I edit Sincerely, Yours. 

I still have ongoing short stories in my drafts and before I forget! I’m sorry for ghosting you last December. Indeed, you were Ghosted in December. I’m planning to make a duology soon so stay tuned.

It has been a long time since I last posted here. To be honest, I missed writing. I missed publishing chapters and the feeling of satisfaction every time I finish a story. October was the last time I posted a story, Twelve Hours to a Lifetime which I wrote spontaneously. The past two months, I undergo through a phase where I isolated and recovered myself for which I felt like I was kind of lost. I also found fangirling in me. I enjoyed the feeling of having just one company beside me and not really exposing myself to others. I also celebrated my 18th birthday last November where I became really busy preparing for. It was a lot of fun and I appreciate those who greeted me in my writing twt acc even though I am not always active. It flatters me to receive notifications and feedback from my stories even if I stopped promoting it. I don’t know how these people discovered my works but hey, thank you and I appreciate your good feedbacks. It gives me drive and motivation to continue my unfinished works. Just now, I am planning to publish a short story Christmas special since Christmas is near and also, I will continue publishing Everything In Between. I am contemplating if I should revise it but I thought I should just go with how I started it.

Every time I write or try to update my draft, it feels like I’m writing down my thoughts, my dreams, releasing my emotions, telling the unsaid things in my heart that I could never say as of the moment. 

It feels refreshing, renewing. 

Sometimes, I feel guilty for throwing all the pain and sufferings to my characters but at some point I thought that maybe they needed it too. For some reasons, my characters are alive in my mind, feels like they really have their own lives and they just tell it to me to convey it to my readers. 

When I write, I feel like a part of me is being exposed. A part of me is being shown. 

A part of me that no one knows is revealed through my stories... through writing.

Ever since I started writing again, I cannot imagine myself abandoning my stories for the nth time. I cannot imagine myself from stopping in writing. I may pause for a while, but I don’t think I can leave my escape. 

Writing is the only thing that spares me another world to live in order to escape this reality. This is the thing that I always wanna do and I don’t care how slow my progress is as long as there’s a progress, as long as I write— I’d still continue.

And so I hope you are too! I hope you never lose the fire you hold with your passion. May that fire forever be ablaze as you reach for your goal... for your dreams! 

Twelve Hours To A Lifetime- (Complete)

A short story of a college nursing student and engineering dropout sharing their life endeavors within twelve hours once in their lifetime.

A little background about my impulsive short story written for almost seven hours in a span of two days. 

I dreamt about their names last July and I thought about making a story about them— a novel to be exact. But for some reasons, their names just kept on popping in my mind these past few days and they were like telling me to write a story about them immediately. It’s kind of funny because usually it would take me a lot of days or even weeks or months to finalize a plot in my mind. But for this short story, it only took hours for me to finalize the plot and then the next thing I knew is that I was already writing it continuously as if the scenes and dialogues really happened and has been said by real people. It didn't help that I have a wide imagination to think that what if they really lived in another universe and their story has been summoned for me to tell in this lifetime. Argh haha. 

Fun fact about it’s supposed ending was Art should be ghost— but I thought that Kash’s problems are already too much to handle and it would probably drive her really crazy if she learned that the guy she’s been with the whole night is a freaking ghost.

I enjoyed writing the story though. It somehow released some emotions and burden in my heart. I never had a second thought of writing the scenes that were written because maybe that’s what is really meant to happen for the both of them. I decided to give them an open ending because I am still contemplating if I should write a sequel about them or finish my on-going novelette first. Hahaha.

Hello. I’m kinda inactive lately because there’s a lot of going on right now. I’m also busy with my modules so I don’t know when can I update the book. I am still in the progress of knowing my characters and there will be a lot of new characters so I hope you’ll also get to know them as much as I do. I still can’t get over with Sincerely, Yours... gosh I’m still stuck with Emman and Sef. AAAAAAA help!

 Fun facts:

 A Walk With Joy was supposedly a short standalone story.

I planned the whole trilogy impulsively while washing the dishes. (Imagine n’yo na lang kung gaano karaming plato ‘yong hinuhugasan ko para makapag plano ako ng trilogy. Shux!)

Oliver is based from a real life person. A person I really know... hmm.

I was attempting to write a full length novel when I was creating a plot for A Walk With Joy. 

This story was inspired by the song Kahit Kunwari Man Lang by Agsunta and Moira.

I thought about this story last November 20, days just before my birthday and published it on the 23rd of January.

A Walk With Joy was my way to move on from my past crushes. Yay!

What if I stayed?

What if I didn’t leave?

What if I waited?

Would it make any difference? 

Would you still leave? 

Did you just wait me to leave so you could leave as well?

There are so many questions in my mind that even the years already passed, those questions were still the same. 

You’ve fought so well, my love. Ang mga alaala natin sa kaunting panahon na nakilala kita ay pang habang buhay kong dadalhin. 

The most difficult thing I had to realize was that it wasn't a waste of time, even if it didn't last forever...

I often wonder a lot of what-ifs every time I think about how our story worked out. Paano pala kung sinabi ko kaagad no’ng una ‘yong nararamdaman ko? Paano pala kung umamin ako? Hay. Duwag.

Pero naisip ko rin, siguro talagang pinag-adya ng tadhana na hindi ako umamin sa ‘yo agad... na talaga palang dapat akong masaktan. 

Falling in love with your bestfriend is a risk. Sobrang dami kong sinakripisyo para lang hindi mawala ‘yong pagkakaibigan na meron tayo pero nawala pa rin. Siguro talagang ganoon, ano? May mga taong papasok sa buhay mo, magdadala ng malaking impact sa buong pagkatao mo pagkatapos ay aalis na ulit. 

Ang tangi ko lang na ipinagpapasalamat ay ang minahal kita sa murang edad dahil iyon ang pinaka puro na pagmamahal na kaya kong ibigay sa buong buhay ko. Pagmamahal na inosente, pagmamahal na nagmamasid, nag-aaruga at pagmamahal na kahit nasasaktan na nagmamahal pa rin.

It feels so good right?

It was midnight yesterday when I learned that my second story already reached its thousand reads. As much as I wanted to jump in joy and scream to express how happy I am, I just can’t because it’s already midnight. Happy and excited were both understatement of what I actually feel that night. I was trying suppress my feelings but I just cannot. Obviously, it wasn’t my first time having a thousand reads because A Walk With Joy already reached it last June but why does it feels like my first time? Well, I guess everything related about my stories are my first time. This week is a whole pack of achievement for me and I will always be grateful that I’ve got to experience those little things. It may not be as much as what others achieved but small victories are what we should always celebrate so that when big victories come, we may learn to appreciate them even more.

All glory to our God who gave us the gift of expressing ourselves and sharing our stories to others. May we not forget to give back the glory to Him.

Hello, so I guess I’ll be sparing this space for my thoughts. I actually have a lot. 

: Sana hindi kayo ma-cringe, I just like to express myself in english huhu. 

Anyways, these past few days, I’ve been really getting a lot of achievements from my stories. The reads were increasing so fast and I was always jumping like a kid every time I reach a hundred or two per day. It was an achievement! I want to celebrate it so I would always tweet some stuff on twitter or bombard my sibs with a lot of shrieking sounds just to express how happy I am. 

Honestly speaking, a year ago I didn’t expect to reach this kind of life achievement. I mean, kung sa iba wala lang, for me this is everything! I always wanna try to publish stories since then but I guess I was lacking something kaya hindi ko na tinutuloy. I wasn’t that confident enough to share my thoughts and express my feelings. (It really took me a lot of courage and strength to publish my two stories.) But then suddenly, a year ago, after months of thinking about if I should try to publish a story or not, I ended up publishing it anyway. 

The reason why the trilogy has only less than twenty chapters is because I was just starting my craft and I wanna start it slowly. I tried to write a wider plot before pero nakakasawaan ko kaagad so I thought why not think of a shorter plot para makuha ko ‘yong enthusiasm na magsulat and I guess it worked for the passed nine months. 

I’ve been blessed with a lot of achievements just after I took a long break from my acads. Kahit napaka mainipin kong tao in person, I still believe in perfect timings so whatever you are praying for to achieve someday, just continue praying for it, continue working for it at ako ang buhay na patunay na mangyayari kung ano man ‘yan. 

A single step is a progress, just continue walking because there’s a journey that awaits for you!

Earlier this week, I tried creating a separate account to promote my works on Tiktok. Slowly, the views and engagements of my videos started to increase until I saw some comments asking, "Happy ending po ba?" "Sila ba endgame?" and such. Funny coz I can't just basically answer them with a simple yes or no except for the fact that I don't wanna spoil them. It is because I have a different view in ending a story.

In my opinion, there's no such thing as a happy ending. it doesn't mean that you married the man of your dreams, or you achieved a goal you always wanna reach, or you've visited the place you have always wanna go means "Happy ending."

I want my characters to be happy but I don't wanna end it the way the "happy ending" idea goes. I want my readers to see how the life of my characters continues in my next upcoming stories because I believe that in real life you are not always the main character.

You may ask, "What does the word 'end' at the bottom of your epilogue means?"

It simply means that with every ending comes a new beginning.
