If you're living just to please someone, then you're actually sacrificing your happiness just to make someone else happy. I'm not at all telling that you shouldn't make someone feel happy, but what I am trying to convey is that you should never compromise your dreams just because of society's pressure, as the event of making society happy is in itself like pigs flying, which is never going to happen. The society will never get fully satisfied, as their expectations from you is directly proportional to the happiness that you're delivering them. So, the more you try to make them happy, the more will they expect from you, the next time. And when, inspite of working hard, you won't be able to match to their expectations, then you ought to feel bad, you ought to get the feeling of being a failure. That's why it's said, expectation is the root cause of unhappiness. Now, let's throw a light upon what would have been the case if you would have tried to make yourself happy instead of pleasing the society. Situation, then would've been other way round. It would've been a win-win situation for you because neither the society would've expected much from you, nor you would've gotten the feeling of being a failure. And moreover, you would've remained immensely energetic throughout that process as you're doing all the things that makes you happy, that you're passionate of, that your heart wants you to do. So, follow your dreams, make yourself happy, make others happy, but never give up on your dreams, just because some people are against it. After all, it's your dream, not their's
