Soon I might not be able to visit foreign websites due to Chinese gov policy and can’t upload my works anymore.In the worst case, I might disappear from twitter and tumblr completely.

Actually because there won’t be “Chinese vpn” anymore….And if …..they forbid all the vpn then I couldn’t….you know, I couldn’t connect to Twitter or Tumblr or even Google (It’s sad to say this but….unless I find another way on or my vpn still working….I have to say goodbye to you all in the end of March)And don’t worry, at least I have almost 2 months left

Free VPNs will be banned only, right? Why can’t you just buy “un-free” VPN or Proxy? We have the same problem here in Iran but as I understand un-free VPNs and Proxies work even when the free VPNs can’t be connected.

Dude….oh…Dam* it I didn’t say “free vpn only”. I mean ALL Chinese vpn. It’s serious, I pay an annual service on a vpn and praying everyday for not being banned in future. We are not talking about the same thing do we? And even buy the foreign vpn I might still couldn’t connect to google because the firewall

The same thing happpend to me too. and we can’t help even a little.

To make it straight I will just explain what happened here.

-we can’t use visit many foreign weibsites without VPN, including Twitter/Tumblr/all Google services/Youtube/Pinterest/Facebook/Instagram, etc. It has been like this for years.

-most free VPNs are taken down in China, and many “un-free” local VPNs are banned too, it’s just the time problem. The gov is planning to take down all VPNs by the end of March, no matter it has a Chinese local or oversea provider.

-How about visiting other unbanned websites?(ex: DA?) good point. However, no one knows how long they can last. If any of these websites are found to have “sensitive contents”, the gov will block it. (sensitive contents includes many things: LGBT stuffs, porn, topics abt Chinese gov, etc)

-Is there anyway to visit banned websites? Yes, but very difficult. According to the news only foreign firms on the gov white list are allowed to use VPN. For normal residents? Idk.

Usually many Chinese artists have acc on weibo.....but now since weibo is going to apply real-name system(which means you can only use weibo with your real life ID approved)....idk lmao, I think people here will move to find a new platform. Currently many artists have acc on Weibo/Lofter, and Pawoo. (Lofter and pawoo can be visited from oversea without registration) The best way is to ask where they will keep updating their work and try to follow them on that platform.
