The room was silent save for the almost frantic scratches of Red’s pencil moving across a page in her sketchbook. She was propped up against the wall on her bed as she drew and while her lines were coming together with their usual precision, forming a mosaic of shades and lines that would soon become a coherent image, her focus was split.

Her eyes kept flickering over to the clock on the wall, even as her mind wasn’t registering the numbers displayed. Not that it would matter if they did, considering there wasn't a specific time she knew to look for.

Chloe had said she would be back a bit late in her text, but she didn't say how late.

The bluenette had asked her to call or text if she needed anything or felt herself slipping, and while Red was definitely feeling the usual fuzziness descending over her thoughts, she couldn't bring herself to bother the princess.

Her nightmares had been hitting her harder than usual, causing her to wake several times throughout the last few nights and while she wasn't in little space <i>every</i> time, Chloe was there for each moment, calming and comforting her.

As a result, both girls were overly tired and Red felt so incredibly guilty with each yawn her caregiver let out. Chloe had even fallen asleep in class during a test, which was why she still wasn't back. She had to go and make up the test after school hours had ended.

Chloe had <i>never</i> fallen asleep in class before so Red felt even worse knowing that it was her fault.

So there was no way she could bother the girl now.

Even if she could feel a bit of anxiety at the girl's absence swirling around in the pit of her stomach.

At first she’d put in her headphones hoping her music could help drown out her ailments, but unfortunately her mind was running too fast and the extra sensory input only served to make her more jittery.

Now she was simply drawing to keep her hands busy, but it wasnt holding her focus enough.

The anxiety was building on itself with every tick of the clock, coaxing the fuzziness further, but she continued to fight it the best she could.

She couldn't be Little tonight. She needed to let Chloe catch a break.

She <i>needed</i> to be able to take care of herself.

Red hadn't realized how hard shed been pressing her pencil into the paper until suddenly the tip snapped, launching her hand across the side and the broken wood scratched roughly across the back of her other hand.

The rebel froze, examining the now red raised skin that stung rather prominently and startled herself when she heard the whimper she had involuntarily let out.

She growled in annoyance at herself and harshly wiped at her eyes with her sleeve when she realized there were tears obscuring her vision.

She was slipping <i>faster</i>.

She threw the pencil first, not feeling any kind of satisfaction when it simply bounced across the carpeted floor so she huffed angrily and threw her sketchbook too for good measure.

“tupid penciw.” She muttered to herself as the tears started spilling more over her cheeks and her chest heaved with her sudden uneven breaths.

Suddenly the bed wasn't so comfortable anymore. It felt too open, too exposed, so she slipped herself off the side to curl up against the wall on the ground. It felt a little better seeing nothing but the bed in front of her but somehow it still wasnt enough.

She wanted Bluey.

After a few beats she decided to crawl herself across the floor, feeling a little too shaky to pull herself to her feet as she made her way to her caregivers closet.

She crawled under the hanging clothes, tugging down one of Chloe's often worn sweaters to hug tightly to her chest as she buried her face in the hanging fabric around her that still smelled like her comfort human.

Finally the roaring feeling in her chest started to settle, and the tears slowed to a stop, the scratch on her hand long forgotten and she finally felt she could breathe again.

She didn't notice she’d drifted off into sleep until gentle fingers were running soothingly through her hair.

Chestnut eyes opened blearily taking in the sight of the bluenette kneeling in front of her, concern shining brightly in her eyes, but her face was contorted into a soft and loving expression.

“Hey baby, I’m back.” She whispered softly and Red couldn't stop herself from jolting forward to throw her arms around the girl’s neck. Chloe wasted no time in gathering the girl into her arms and rubbing her back as Red clung to her as though her life depended on it.

“Hey, hey, it’s okay Little One. I'm sorry Bluey took so long, but I’m here now.” She spoke softly into her ear holding her for a few moments until she felt the redhead relax more into her.

“C’mon baby girl, let’s get out of here and go have some snuggle time on your nice and cozy bed.” She lifted Red up easily and brought them back out into the room. Red pressed her face into Chloe’s neck to hide from the sudden brightness after having been sitting so long in the dim lighting of the closet.

Chloe brought them over to Red’s bed and maneuvered them until they were both lying snuggly wrapped around each other and Red’s eyes finally adjusted enough for her to open her eyes.

She could see her sketchbook and pencil sat neatly back on her own desk and Chloe’s backpack thrown onto the bluenettes bed as though it had been a second thought.

“Hi baby girl.” Red brough her gaze back up and an involuntary smile broke out onto the little’s face when she saw the warm expression on her caregivers face.

“miss buey” the redhead informed her caregiver.

“I missed you too, babygirl.” Chloe pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead and Red sighed contentedly.

Yes! I *love* all of your comments! Theyre some of my favorites ^^ the thing with the bakery au is im kinda stuck on writing red in Littlespace at the moment (as i seem to keep getting stuck in myself 😅) and the next part i have planned requires Red to stay big, so ive had a lot of false starts, some I might post here some point soon cuz I keep making her little 😖

So in this world, at the school its required that every Little is paired with a caregiver, since most littles would need supervision when dropped, at the beginning they were simply assigned to one another so think kind of like a foster placement, then Littles and caregivers can interact and decide they want to enter a dynamic (think adoption) so as assignments, Red could still be claimed by another caregiver that would have wanted to "adopt" her per say, and by entering the dynamic Chloe established that she was hers and hers alone.

Okay so like imagine if it was RedX Mal in this story (just for the Little X Little aspect) I feel like each little would also be close to their partners caregivers so like Red would have a good relationship with Evie and Mal would have a good relationship with Chloe and theyd probably both help out with both.

You have to also remember in this that Littles aren't slipping like every day or anything, so I feel like when one would start to slip, the other would be quick to call their cg, especially since Littles trigger Littles

Basically Red's feeling numb and empty but doesnt know why. It's a good thing she has Chloe to just be there for her.

Absolutely. I actually have something semi started that I think that would fit in to.

And yess more mall and evie coming! They will be featured in the New Years chapter of the Little Red Holiday saga, but I hope to start incorporating them more in other ways as they have been one of my otps that I held dear to my heart for the longest time :3

Also, Little Chloe would he cute, am working on a couple things with that, especially a request that Ive been trying to fulfill forever.

Well i actually don't think that can happen. Im not sure how well ive portrayed it, but Littlespace isn't wholly random, its something that's triggered, at least for me anyway. I notice I start feeling Little when Im really stressed anxious or tired, but I also can be triggered by Little things like going to build a bear, or watching one of my favorite Little shows.

Like you're in a very specific headspace in order to slip or drop

So if they were at a point that they would start making out or anything, Chloe would definitely be checking in before hand to ensure Red was in a good space where she wasnt already feeling little.

Also as a fun little thought experiment, since I made Little space in this world be something thats biological, I think from a bio chem standpoint getting turned on or anything would probably be a specific hormone that would light up a different part of the brain so in this world it would definitely be impossible.

Another one I like to consider a "false start" . It's rather short but I kinda knew immediately that I would be going in a differeent direction.

I absolutely love the song "Long Live" by Taylor Swift so ill definitely be finding a way to throw it into a reach chapter

Chloe came back downstairs with her Little in her arms while Red kept a tight grip on her new blankie that she had refused to leave behind. 

As soon as her caregiver had set her on her feet at the bottom of the stairs, the toddler made a beeline for a sleeping Chad. 

“Dino! Dino! Wooky!” The Little cheered, holding up the blanket as she ran and Audrey was quick to hold her hand up to stop her.

“Honey, Uncle Dino is sleeping, we gotta be quiet, okay?” She told her and Red stopped in her tracks, a small pout on her face.

“Wanna show Dino my b’ankie” The Little held it up sadly and Audrey gave her a soft smile.

“That’s a very nice blankie, Sweetheart, I’m sure your uncle Dino will wanna see it when he wakes up, but for now, we’re gonna let him sleep.” Red looked around the room to see the King and Queen nestled up together on another couch and the Little decided to switch gears. She quickly toddled over to the pair and without warning started climbing up into Ella’s lap, much to the Queen’s amusement.

“Why Hello there, Little one! Did you have something you wanted to show me?” She adjusted the Little so she wasn’t going to fall and Red held up her blanket so the Queen could see it.

“s my b’ankie, Nana, my Bluey give’ed me.” The Little told her happily and Ella’s eyes widened in shock at the address before she whipped her head to look at Chloe who was leaning against the door frame at the entrance watching them with a smirk. 

“Nana?” Ella asked with a slight shake to her voice as happy tears filled her eyes.

“It’s what you wanted her to call you right? I’ve been working on it with her for the last couple days, I thought it could be like a small christmas gift.” Her daughter told her and Ella pulled the Little in closer to her, squeezing her lovingly.

“Small? This is the biggest thing you could have ever gotten me.” Ella said and Red whined in confusion at why she was suddenly being squeezed, and why her Nana hadn’t said anything about her new gift.

“Nana! B’ankey!” The Little shook the blanket for emphasis making all the conscious adults in the room laugh. Ella reached out and pet the blanket making the Little beam with joy.

“Yes, my Darling Grand-Little, It’s such a special blankie for such a special Little girl. And it’s so soft! Your Bluey did a really good job with it, huh?” The Little nodded happily before seeming to suddenly remember her Bluey was in the room. She instantly stuck her arms out towards the caregiver while making grabby hands.

Chloe chuckled at the girl’s actions and walked over to her to lift the girl up and hold her on her hip.

“Wuv b’ankie, Bluey.” The Little informed her as she hugged it while snuggling into Chloe. 

“I can see that, <i>Mon petit</i>, I’m so glad you love it.” She swayed the girl softly in her arms and Red suddenly let out a big yawn. 

“Uh oh, I think <i>someone</i> needs a quick little nap before dinner if they want to stay awake long enough to see the Christmas lights tonight.” Chloe told her and Red glanced around the room before pointing at her sleeping uncle.

“Bad Dino?” The girl asked with droopy eyes and Chloe laughed.

“No, Dino’s <i>already</i> sleeping, I was talking about you, you silly Little thing.” She nuzzled her cheek with her nose and the Little giggled sleepily.

“Nah uh! m a big giwl Bluey! No nee’ nap.” Red informed her and Chloe raised a brow.

“Oh is that so!?” She asked her and the Little nodded. “Well then I guess we should go put away your Blankie then, since you’re not gonna need it right now if you’re not napping.” Chloe moved like she was going to take the blanket and Red gasped clutching it tighter to her.

“NO! My b’ankie! s Mine Bluey!” She told her frantically as sudden tears started flooding her eyes making Chloe stop abruptly.

“Oh, hey Sweetheart, of course it’s yours, Bluey’s not actually gonna take it from you, I was just playing around Baby girl.” She bounced the girl as she sniffled, immediately feeling bad for her actions, especially when Red looked up at her with the saddest pout and her bottom lip trembling.

“Bluey no ‘ake Red b’ankie?” She asked with uncertainty and Chloe’s heart broke.

“No, my sweet girl, Bluey won’t ever take your Blankie from you like that. I promise.” She planted a kiss on the girl's head lovingly. 

Red seemed to be satisfied by that answer as she started sucking her thumb before burying her head into her caregivers neck. 

Chloe took a moment to expertly switch the girl’s thumb out for her paci that was still hanging on its clip and then gently tugged the girl’s tiger hood down so that it shielded her Little’s eyes. 

“<i>I said Remember this moment, 

In the back of my mind.</i>” 

Chloe started singing softly while gently rubbing circles into her girl’s back and Red instantly quieted down, starting to relax as she just listened to the soft melody.

<i>The time we stood with our shaking hands, the crowds in stands 

went wild.</i>”

Chloe swayed with her girl back and forth and snapped her head up in surprise when her mom suddenly jumped in and sang the next line.

“<i> We were the kings and Queens</i>” The Queen smirked at her daughter who smiled in amusement, shaking her head slightly at her before taking back over.

“<i>And they read off our names. The night you danced like-” </i> 

This time Chloe didn’t falter when her mom started harmonizing with her, their voices melding together beautifully.

“<i>You knew our lives, would never be the same.</i>” Ella looked at her husband who smiled warmly and put his arm around her, pulling her further into his side as they both listened to their daughter finish singing to her Little.

“<i>You held your head like a hero,

On a History Book page…

It was the end of an </i> era.

<i>But the start of an age</i>”

She paused to get a gauge on if her Little had fallen asleep yet, and was given her answer when the Little whined softly at the fact that her Bluey had stopped singing.

She was still awake, but just barely. Chloe walked over to the other end of the couch Audrey and Chad were on and adjusted her girl so that she was laying sideways in her lap with her blankie pressed between them and her cheek resting on her shoulder. 

Chloe cradled her a bit and gently tugged at her Blankie to have it spread over her before she went back to rubbing her back softly and continued the song where she’d left off.

Her voice was still soft, but clear and her parents and Audrey continued to watch silently with soft smiles.

“<i>Long Live, the walls we crashed through, 

How the kingdom lights shined,

Just for me and you.

I was screaming “Love live all the magic we made,

And bring on all the pretenders,

One day,

We will be remembered.”</i>

Chloe hummed a bit and was able to spot the exact moment her Little fully fell asleep against her, with her hood still covering her eyes and her paci nestled loosely in her mouth.

“Sweet dreams, Little One.” The bluenette whispered to her before pressing a kiss to a small part of her cheek that was exposed and settling her onto the couch. She smoothed the girl’s blanket out to ensure it was covering her entirely. 

“Aww that was adorable! Do you sing to her often?” Audrey inquired keeping her voice low as to not disturb the sleeping pair that were on the couch and Chloe nodded. 

Baby Red

“Red Sweetheart, it’s time to get up. No more napping, we gotta wake up!” Red whined softly as she blinked her tired eyes open to look sleepily at her caregiver who was speaking in a soft tone while rubbing her back under her blanket.

Chloe had managed to put her down for a quick nap with her new Blankie in the time they had left before dinner would be served in the hopes that it would help her stay up enough to see the Christmas Lights after dinner.

“Hi pretty girl!” Chloe greeted the girl perkily once their gazes met and Red groggily rubbed at her eyes before raising her arms.

Chloe smiled warmly at her girl before lifting her into her lap and rubbing soothing circles into her back.

“Aww, my baby tiger is so sleepy! What a precious, sleepy Little cub.” She cooed at the girl gently, straightening her hood a little and a sleepy smile formed on Red’s lips for just a moment before it was wiped away when she realized her gums still hurt.

She fussed and whimpered softly, not feeling big enough for words, but luckily, Chloe seemed to understand pretty quickly what the problem was.

“Did you need bites, <i>mon petit</i>? Is your mouth still all achey?” She lifted the girl up into her arms as she got up and strode over to their bags where she opened a pocket in her big blue duffle bag and pulled out a red dinosaur shaped teether.

“Here we go, this should help make it better.” Red readily accepted the toy with both hands and started gnawing on it while watching her Bluey innocently.

Chloe pressed a quick kiss to the bridge of her nose as she began swaying with the girl back and forth.

“Are you feeling a bit too small to talk, baby girl?” Red didn’t offer any kind of response and just kept biting on her toy.

“I see. Well that’s okay. I guess you’ll just have to be my Little snugglebug tonight huh?” She nuzzled the girl’s cheek affectionately earning a small giggle that brought a smile to her lips.

“I love you, <i>mon petit</i>.” Chloe told her softly before planting another kiss to her forehead and heading towards the door. Only, as soon as she was crossing the doorway, the Little in her arms started frantically whining and fussing.

“What is it Sweetheart? What’s with all the fuss?” Red used one arm to reach over the bluenette’s shoulder toward the bed as she whimpered, and Chloe turned back around. She pondered the bed for half a moment before she realized what it was that her Little was reaching for.

“Oh! Did you want your blankie?” She asked the girl and the Little nodded her head prompting Chloe to go back and collect the soft fabric from the bed.

As soon as she handed it to her, the Little instantly started rubbing her cheek against it as she settled down. She kept a firm grip on it with one hand while she used the other to hold her teether back up to her mouth to continue her biting feeling rather content.

Chloe just patted her back softly, dropping one more kiss onto the crown of her head before taking them back down to where the rest of the family was lounging before dinner.

“I don’t know son, running away from a nice lady that was just trying to help you sounds an awful lot like something a Little would do.” Chloe rounded the corner just in time to hear her father teasing her brother who had only woken up a few minutes before Chloe had gone to rouse her Little.

“Uugh, Can we let it go? Why are we even still talking about this!? Everything worked out for the better in the end!” He exclaimed and Chloe raised her brow.

“For the better? Do you have any idea how difficult it is to wash chocolate sauce out of a squirming toddlers hair when you don’t even have any bath toys to distract her with? Plus she told me you didn’t follow through on any promises that you made her today!” Chad sputtered as he tried to deny his sister's claims but then realized she was right.

Red didn't get to ride any horses; real or fake.

She didn’t get to make Chloe a present.

They might have gotten coated in chocolate sauce, but at no point did Red actually get any ice cream…

“Oh crap! She’s right!” The blond ran a hand through his frazzled hair and Chloe shook her head at him, clicking her tongue teasingly.

“Looks like you’re gonna have to find a way to make it up to her. She was <i>devastated</i> Chad! Completely inconsolable, all the way up until her nap.” Chad’s eyes grew wide and he floundered as the guilt washed over him.

“Oh no! I'm so sorry! I didn’t mean to- I’ll definitely have to- I mean, what if I…” Chloe smirked in amusement as she watched the boy basically fall to pieces until their mother interjected.

“Chloe, stop torturing your brother, I believe he’s had enough excitement for today.” Ella reprimanded her but Chloe didn’t miss the same amusement dancing in her eyes as well.

Chloe shifted Red in her arms and gave a mockingly drawn out sigh as if it pained her to have to end his suffering.

“Okay fine. Chad, Red’s fine. She never cried over your broken promises, in fact, her Little self had already forgotten about them all entirely by the time I had her cleaned up at the mall.” Chad’s jaw dropped as he gaped at his sister.

“You’re <i>evil</i>!” His voice pitched up as he pointed his finger at her with a glare, but faltered when the Little in his sister's arms started giggling at him from behind her teether. “Hey!” He cried out indignantly and Chloe laughed.

“Your uncle Dino is just <i>so</i> silly, isn't he?” She cooed at the girl and bounced her lightly as everyone in the room aside from Chad laughed.

The elder Charming sibling grumbled a bit, but even he couldn’t fully suppress his smile at the Little’s bubbly giggles.

Audrey shook her head in amusement as she pulled her sub into her and rubbed his back in a semi empathetic manner.

“There, there. I know honey, everyone just wants to pick on Chad huh?” Chad gave a mock pout and nodded his head as he let his Dom jokingly console him.

Red watched this with a frown from her spot in Chloe’s arms and started squirming and whining until Chloe set her down.

The girl was more unsteady on her feet than usual as she toddled over to the pair so Chloe stayed close behind her so she could catch her if she started to fall.

“Gah!” She grunted once she’d made it to Chad and started trying to climb into his lap much to the prince’s surprise.

“Hey, Little Dragon! What’s up?” He adjusted her so she was sitting securely enough to not fall and she held up her blankie to him as she babbled nonsense in his face.

Chad scrunched his eyebrows in confusion before glancing up at his sister with a questioning look.

Chloe had been studying her Little’s mannerisms and did her best to decipher them.

“She woke up from her nap in a smaller headspace. She’s too Little for words right now, but I think she thinks you were actually sad just now and is trying to cheer you up by showing you her new blankie.”

Chad looked back at the Little who was now watching him almost expectantly as she continued to hold out her blankie.

“Aww that’s so sweet!” Audrey gushed as Chad reached out to touch the fabric gently.

“Oh wow, it’s so soft! That’s a really neat blanket Squirt! Thank you! I’m all cheered up now!” He told her enthusiastically and the Little smiled brightly before pulling her blankie back into her and babbling some more.

Chloe stepped forward and lifted the girl back into her arms kissing her cheek lovingly.

“My sweet Little baby.” She cooed to her and Red beamed up at her.

“Mama!” The little exclaimed happily and everyone else’s eyes widened while Chloe let out a small squeal of excitement and smothered the girl in kisses.

“You really <i>are</i> so little right now aren’t you? Yeah, mama could tell right away, huh?”

“Wait, I thought you said she doesn’t call you that?” Chad asked, a bit confused. There had been a point when he’d instinctively referred to her as Red’s mommy in front of the toddler and he’d been immediately corrected.

Chloe settled her baby onto her hip and turned to address her brother.

“Well, She’s only been this Little once before, but it’s the only time she does. I had a talk with her about it afterward, and the most sense we could make of it is that when she’s so deep in headspace, her usual hesitations with the name are too big for her to comprehend.”

“Hesitations? I thought her calling you Bluey was a casual preference, are you saying she has an aversion to calling you mama?” Ella asked with curiosity, her tone void of judgement. Chloe nodded.

“Her trauma with her mom runs deeper than her normal littlespace. She has such a negative association with it that there are times the word alone can occasionally throw her out of headspace entirely, but when she’s this little, it’s like she doesn’t have access to <i>all</i> her memories and she just knows that I’m the one who takes care of her, so instinctively, I’m Mama.”

As if to prove her point the Little brought a hand up to pat the bluenette’s cheek clumsily.

“Mama, mama, mama” She babbled, making Chloe laugh lightly. She gently grabbed the girl's hand and brought it to her mouth to kiss it, making the baby giggle before pulling her caregiver’s hand back to her own mouth.

Chloe was expecting the girl to try and sloppily kiss her hand as a way of mimicking her, so she was honestly surprised when the girl took the opportunity to chomp down on it instead.

The next morning Red woke up feeling a familiar ache in her mouth, and being between headspaces she couldn’t decide if she wanted to cry or just try and go back to sleep in the hopes that it would stop by the time she woke up.

She groaned slightly as she realized what she had to do.

Her first instinct was still to shove it down, tell no one, and pretend it didn’t exist, but she had made a promise to Chloe to try and be better about going to her with these kinds of things.

The bluenette was still sleeping with her arms wrapped loosely around the redhead’s frame and Red struggled internally as she really didn’t want to wake her, but also didn’t want to go back on her promise.

She sighed heavily before nuzzling herself further into her girlfriend’s embrace.

“Princess,” she spoke softly into her shoulder, but the girl didn’t stir so she took another deep breath and pulled away enough so that her face was inches from Chloe’s before trying again a little louder.

“Princess,” Chloe’s arms squeezed her gently as her breathing picked up telling the rebel that she was waking up.

“Hmm?” She hummed without opening her eyes but Red knew she had her full attention. She felt her face burn as she said what she had to say.

“I think I might be teething again.” She told her reluctantly feeling rather mortified that she’d actually uttered the words aloud.

Chloe’s eyes fluttered open groggily as she studied the girl’s face in front of her.

“Open your mouth baby girl, lemme see.” Red blushed even darker but did as told and opened her mouth for the taller girl to inspect her gums.

“Yep. Looks like it, <i>mon amour</i>. Looks like we’ll have to head into town in a few. I didn’t bring any of your teethers.” Red buried her face back into Chloe’s shoulder with a groan both of frustration and embarrassment and the bluenette patted her back gently.

“I’m so proud of you for waking me though! You did so good, Little One.” Red whined at the soft voice her caregiver was using as butterflies erupted in her stomach at the praise and the fuzziness started growing.

“Chlooee. You’re makin’ me feel small!” The rebel whined again as she tried to fight her headspace but Chloe just chuckled.

“That’s kinda what I was going for, Sweetheart. No offense but taking you out for Little things is a lot easier when you’re Little.” She pressed a loving kiss to her temple.

“It’s gonna be okay, just let go baby girl. Bluey’s right here. There’s no need for you to be big right now.” She switched from patting her back to rubbing gentle circles as Red fought it for a moment more.

“But I’m a big girl!” The redhead huffed into her shoulder.

“I know, Sweetheart. You <i>are</i> my big girl! You can eat on your own even if you can be a bit messy, and you can use the potty on your own. You’re still too Little to get dressed on your own though, Bluey needs to help you with that, but you’re such a big helper when you pick out your clothes that you wanna wear!”

With each sentence, Red was feeling smaller and smaller until suddenly her thumb was in her mouth without her even realizing it and she was nodding along with what her Bluey was saying.

“Mhm. I he’p Bluey!” Chloe smiled warmly at her slipped voice and peppered her cheek with kisses eliciting a trickle of giggles.

“Yep. You’re Bluey’s Little Helper, aren’t you? Do you wanna show me how awesome of a helper you are and go bring Bluey your bag?” The Little nodded enthusiastically and Chloe released her from her arms to allow the girl to scramble off the bed and dart towards the closet where she’d just left their luggage on the ground.

The bluenette took a moment to stretch and retrieve the girl’s pacifier that had been lying under the blankets just as Red was bodily dragging Chloe’s big blue duffel bag across the carpeted floor.

Chloe laughed.

“<i>Mon petit</i>, I said <i>your</i> bag. That one’s mine you silly goose! Do you think you can bring me the little red bag please?”

“Oh.” The Little nodded again and turned to run back towards the closet again, but she tripped over the blue bag she’d been dragging and ended up spilled onto the floor.

“Oh, sweetheart!” Chloe ran over to her just as she started crying and scooped her up off the ground. “It’s gonna be okay, Bluey’s got you. That wasn’t very fun, was it?” Red shook her head as she cried into Chloe’s neck.

“Does it hurt anywhere baby girl?” She asked her and the girl nodded. “Where does it hurt, baby? Can you show me?” She sat on the bed and adjusted the crying girl onto her lap. Red held out her hands and Chloe could see they looked a little red from sliding on the carpet.

“Oh honey, it looks like you got a little rug burn, do you want Bluey to kiss them better?” Red nodded and raised her hands to the bluenette’s face so Chloe could gingerly press a kiss to each one.

“There we go, is that better?” The toddler nodded as her cries started quieting down and Chloe hugged her close as she rocked them slightly while humming softly.

Red melted against her, nuzzling herself into Chloe’s neck while letting the sound of her voice wash over her.

The Little whined and fussed slightly though when her gums continued to throb. The pain was starting to feel a bit overwhelming for the girl and because of it, she found herself desperate for some form of relief and she acted purely on instinct.

“OW!” Chloe yelped when she felt Red’s teeth sink into her shoulder. “Red! Did you just <i>bite</i> me!?” She pulled away from the girl enough to face her and tears instantly flooded the girl’s vision a second time as a look of absolute guilt came over her expression.

“I sowwy.” She cried remorsefully and Chloe sighed.

“Thank you for your apology Little One, I forgive you, but next time let’s try telling Bluey we need to bite instead, okay? Let’s just get dressed so we can hurry and get you some teethers.” She popped the girl’s paci into her mouth hoping it would be enough comfort for now, and Red started alternating between chewing and suckling as Chloe dried her tears.

“What ever am I to do with you <i>mon petit</i>?” She asked playfully as chestnut eyes stared up at her innocently. She pressed a soft kiss to the girl's nose before getting up with the girl in her arms to retrieve the small red bag with Red’s Little clothes.

She dressed the girl in a black t-shirt covered in penguins along with a pair of red overalls and teddy bear socks that she then covered with a pair of red Little

converse that had velcro straps instead of laces.

By the time Chloe finished getting them ready and grabbing her usual, packed Little bag, she came down the stairs carrying Red to find a bit of a commotion in the foyer.

Her parents were hugging two new arrivals and Chloe instantly recognized her brother’s blond curly locks.

“Oh look who finally decided to join us!” She made their presence known and Chad stepped out of his father’s embrace to smile up at them.

“Is that my sister I see? And Red Dragon!” Red jolted up in Chloe’s arms at hearing the familiar voice saying her code name and the Little squealed in excitement.

“Bad Dino!” Her exclamation made her paci fall from her mouth to hang from it’s clip as she wriggled and squirmed and Chloe felt her heart leap into her throat when she almost lost her hold on the toddler while still coming down the staircase.

“Red! Hold on, baby girl, Bluey will put you down in a moment.” She hurried down the last couple of steps before gently setting her girl on her feet and the redhead ran to the blonde man that was standing at the front doors. Chad held his arms out and managed to catch the girl as she launched herself into his arms.

“Hey there, Squirt, I’ve missed you! It’s been like <i>forever</i> since I last saw you!” He hugged the girl and tickled her sides causing the girl to laugh brightly and squirm in his hold.

“It hasn’t even been a month since we last saw you.” Chloe arched her brow at her brother as she approached them. Chad smiled widely at his little sister and set her Little down to give her a proper hug.

“Like I said, it’s been <i>forever</i>! How are you, Little sis? Have you gotten taller?” The man put a hand on her head and jokingly measured her height against his shoulder and she rolled her eyes but her smile was prominent even as she playfully shoved him.

“No, I’m certain you’re shrinking. The universe has finally realized its mistake in making you freakishly tall and is correcting it.” The guy gasped in mock offense.

“How <i>dare</i> you!” Red burst into a fit of giggles at seeing the siblings' interaction and the Charmings all watched her with fond looks.

“Aww, Chad! She’s even cuter than you mentioned! Hi, Sweetie!” Red stopped as it was only then that she realized there was a person standing there that she’d never seen before. Her eyes widened at seeing the unfamiliar brunette looking at her and she darted behind her caregiver to grip at her shirt and hide.

“Oh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to scare her!” The woman frowned, feeling bad for her actions.

“No worries, Audrey, Red’s just a bit shy.” Chloe turned around and lifted her Little onto her hip to bring her over to the brunette.

“Baby girl, this is Audrey, She’s Chad’s dom. Audrey, this is my Little, Red.” The toddler peeked out from her usual hiding place to study the lady she was being introduced to.

“Hello Red, it’s so nice to meet you! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about you!” Audrey gave her a warm smile and Red looked up to her Bluey who gave her an encouraging nod.

“Hewo.” The toddler lisped and gave a tiny wave before bringing her hand up to her mouth to start biting at as she ducked back into her hiding spot. Chloe whispered soft words of praise to her Little for being so brave as she gently replaced the girl’s fingers with her paci.

“Sorry to cut the reunion a little short, but I actually need to go out and get some things for this Little One. She started teething again this morning and I didn’t pack any of her teethers.” Audrey’s eyes lit up.
