To hide the cracks, I became a raging storm.

I originally reposted this in November of 2016. I didn't think it would still be relevant nearly 10 years later. I have since left the US, but his cult and their unquestioning belief in his lies have become a poison through the world. In the UK they think he's a joke, and I have to look at my friends and colleagues and remind them that what they think is funny is very real and terrifying for many I care about. Now his bombing of Iran, claiming nuclear weapons is the same shit as 2001. America needs to rise up against him. The rest of the world needs to band together and grab him by the balls and twist until he relents like the coward he is.

Persephone took his hand and led him from the palace toward Elysium. There were small brooks and streams in the paradise of the underworld, and Persephone had arranged a private picnic. She asked the residents to keep clear of the area, and they were happy to oblige. Sitting on the blanket, she waited for her love to join her.

Marley rolled her eyes. Typical Sirius. “I’m sure the girls there would wonder why you’d transfer schools with me only to try using your French on them.”

Persephone beamed at his acquiescence and kissed his lips this time. “Thank you, love. Although…” she pretended to think, a sly gleam in her eyes. “I’m sure you could still try and find methods of making me tell you… it could be enjoyable.”

Persephone reached up and caressed his cheek. “Mmm. The surprise can wait, my soul.” She had planned an intimate picnic in Elysium under the stars with his favourite foods, and no souls, servants, other deities, or anyone but the two of them. “Or… we could continue this at your surprise?”

Peggy nodded, and led the way to the car park, where her car was one of the last there. The other few cars were security and the agent on-call. She opened the drivers side door and cranked the engine, allowing him to explore and investigate it.

Smiling, she shook her head. “I must admit: I am relieved Timothy has decided to be part of your family instead of a villain’s. He would be utterly unstoppable.” Putting a hand on Bruce’s shoulder she smiled. “Fun for you maybe, but where’s the fun for me?” Her tone was teasing, but she meant it.

"Then come to this benefit with me for two hours. Dance a little, start a few rumours, then we can go get some burgers and go do something actually fun. Can't imagine an escape room with you is fun, you're too clever. Axe throwing with me is a liability. But I'm sure we can figure something out?" Diana suggested hopefully. She'd been volunteering and working as a diplomat day and night, and somehow managing to get her League duties in between. She needed a good night out as well.

“Dick took us to an escape room once... We didn’t make it five minutes before Tim solved the entire room. But I’m sure it would at least be entertaining to see there faces when you break the axe and the target in one throw.” Bruce said, chuckling a little at the thought of going somewhere like that with Diana. “If you can get me drunk enough at the benefit I’ll consider your job a success in showing me a fun night.”

Ahsoka smiled down at Grogu. “Yes, I’m sure you will remind me often, and I welcome it.” Sitting with him, she did feel like she was part of something bigger again, even if it wasn’t the Jedi or the rebellion. Blinking in surprise, she looked down at Grogu. “I suppose you would. He was… well, he was larger than life. His exploits made him well-known. You met and trained with his son: Luke. You haven’t met his daughter, Leia, who is much more like him. While I see Anakin in Luke, I see much more of his mother.”

“That wasn’t Anakin, that was Vader. Anakin was dead by then.” Ahsoka often lost sleep wondering if she could have stopped him from turning if she’d stayed with the Order, or if she would have died too. She wasn’t even a Jedi at the time and her friends had still attacked her. She regretted much about that time, but she was glad she was able to get herself and Rex out. “I’m sure you will, Leia seems to have her fingers in everything.”

“I suppose they’re not as common here, but we are many back home.” Ryan shrugged. Noticing his brow, she wondered if it was meant to be obvious, but she still didn’t understand. “You don’t need to but if you don’t, I’ll still not understand.”
