Here is that Caine x Tenna comic I promised to share. But no kiss! Sorry guys, but I only promised to draw them kissing if Caine won that last round, but Caine didn't won. Tenna did. I gotta keep my word. But hey! There is always the next Tumblr Sexyman contest, next year! Haha! Enjoy!
Tumblr post and contest by @mimosa-sexypeople-contests-2026
Thanks for putting the contest together in the first place! It got me inspired and got me drawing all these cool drawings. It was fun.

get up.
Have you ever just.
The spell to fix every problem
How to Fix Underwriting
1. Slow down at emotionally important moments.
Big emotions need space to land. If a scene feels rushed, pause the plot briefly to show how the moment affects the character.
2. Add reactions, not explanations.
Instead of explaining what a character feels, show it through physical responses, hesitation, or small actions that reveal emotion naturally.
3. Ground every scene in the senses.
If a scene feels thin, add one or two sensory details—sound, texture, smell, or temperature—to make the moment feel lived-in.
4. Let thoughts interrupt action.
A line of internal thought can deepen a scene without slowing it too much. Thoughts show stakes, fear, longing, or conflict beneath the action.
5. Expand consequences, not events.
You don’t need more things to happen—you need to show what matters. Focus on how events change relationships, decisions, or self-perception.
6. Strengthen setting where emotion peaks.
The environment should echo or contrast the emotion of the scene. Setting is not decoration—it’s emotional reinforcement.
7. Add specific details instead of general ones.
Underwriting often relies on vague language. Swap “they argued” for one sharp line of dialogue or a specific breaking point.
8. Let dialogue breathe.
Short dialogue exchanges without pauses can feel flat. Add beats—silence, gestures, interruptions—to give the conversation weight.
9. Show transitions between scenes.
If scenes jump too quickly, readers feel disoriented. A brief transition helps establish time, mood, and emotional continuity.
10. Clarify stakes early in the scene.
If readers don’t know what can be lost, scenes feel empty. Make sure the character wants something specific and fears losing it.
11. Use the “what are they feeling right now?” check.
After each major beat, ask what emotion is dominant in that moment. If it’s missing on the page, the scene is likely underwritten.
12. Expand scenes that feel “too clean.”
If a scene resolves too neatly or quickly, it probably needs more tension. Messy emotions and unresolved feelings add depth.
If you're looking to start up a physical media collection, the best advice I can give you is to go to your local library and have them show you where their Friends of the Library is. Almost every library in the US has a little used bookstore that is absurdly inexpensive and they usually have tons of DVDs.
The most expensive ones I've seen were $4 for a whole box set and the cheapest was 10 DVDs for a dollar. The average in my area is 50 cents per disc.
Also, the people working there are just volunteers who love libraries, and they get SO HAPPY when you support the library by buying books and DVDs. They love when you take their free items too so they can get shelf space back without wasting things. It's not greedy to load up your arms with stuff. It's helpful ♡

Whenever I’m giving gifts to kids I love to go to the thrift store, pick up some of the dozens of scarves they have for a dollar, and use them to wrap the gifts
It’s cute, reusable, doesn’t waste wrapping paper, and the scarf is a gift too — what kid doesn’t love playing dress up, making forts, or dancing with a colorful scarf?
Something I wish more people understood is that optimism and kindness are a choice.
For some people that choice comes more naturally than others. In some situations that choice is easier to make. But even if you're naturally inclined to be kind and optimistic, there will be times when it's a real struggle to not just wallow in the misery, or to be a petty ass gremlin to someone. When it takes real effort to not just take the easy option, because you know it will not help, or will even make stuff worse in the long run.
On the flip side for those who it doesn't come naturally, who really need to work on it, they still can and often do choose both kindness and optimism. Because no matter the difficulty level, it improves your overall quality of life and that of those around you.
Also, choosing kindness is not faking things. If you do kind things you are a kind person, whether you have to actively chose it or not. There is no difference to those you were kind to whether or not you had to think about the action, or if it just happened automatically. You still treated them kindly, and that is what they'll remember. It will mean more than you might think.
The good news is that it's a muscle you can train. The more you forge those pathways in your brain, the easier they are to walk. Where one day you may find that while you may never be a fully natural optimistic kind person, you can pretty well imitate one, and that's all that matters.
Kindness and optimism are a choice and you always get to choose it.
Autumn and winter is a RUBBISH time for my love of solarpunk to be rekindled, because so much of what I can act on is guerrilla gardening. Alas, here I am, getting back to my solarpunk roots.
Do you have any suggestions for solarpunk activities we can work on in the cold months?
God I feel for this!!! Winter always feels like such a festering time to be in love with solarpunk. Not to mention how starved we are for winter content for solarpunk and lunarpunk in general. But yeah!! Here's some ideas to do in winter!!!
Out and about:
There are a lot more social clubs in your city then you'd expect! I know 2 different community associations in my city that have social clubs that go in adult field trips (like to farms and cafes ans boardgame places!!)! And have crafting clubs! And the best part is if their in your community, it's within a decent walk of you but it's almost always walkable!
Using a library!! For anything! Everything! In my provenance we got a saying "Use it or they
Graffiti- leaving kind messages or fun stickers all over the place isn't really a weather restricted activity for the most part. I know someone who made a Playlist filled with union songs and rebellion songs and put a code for it and links to how to unionize on stickers and did that.
Adopt a stop- more cities have these then you might think! But adopt a stop programs basically let you take care of a certain bus stop and this lets you add things (like good benches, shoveling and removing ice, asking the city to add heaters, etc..) you become the advocate for that bus stop. If your city doesn't have a program like it yet you can ask your city or community to start one since it saves a bunch of money on maitance costs!
At home:
Archiving and pirating - highly recommend doing it in a physical sense if you can afford it. Bc then you can give them out as gifts!
Create!! - Sewing, sewing for friends, knitting gloves/scarfs for ppl who might need it, make art to inspire others via writing or drawing or other mediums! Gift economies require gifts after all so make some!
Learn! - learning a new skill, like canning or how to install solarpanels. Researching in general, but also keeping up to date with local politics and what you can do on the ground there. Building up knowledge is such as useful even if it doesn't feel like your doing anything.
Connect! - Shoveling neighbors walkways, or in general connecting with the ppl in your immediate surroundings! They can help you out in ways you couldn't imagine, someone didn't bake often so they gave me 15lbs of flour!! And their extra pair of snow boots, I hadn't had snow boots since I was 12 years old and it meant the world to me. The pizza I taught her daughter to make and a cheap meal for them meant the world for them. These small acts really are what tie each other together.
Plan! - plan for next year, what kind of equipment can you gather? What do you wanna accomplish next growing season? Seed swaps are also a fun thing I know ppl will do in winter as they start preserving food!
This week I went back to visit the discussion in the notes on @seaweed-solarpunk’s post on solarpunk fashion. I collected all the suggestions in reblogs and tags and tried to find common themes to organize into a concept map. This is just my interpretation, but I think the three most important tenets of solarpunk fashion are eco-friendliness, inclusive design, and personal significance.
[image ID: a colorful branching concept map where the central idea is Solarpunk Fashion, and the three main branches are in primary colors. Where the branches connect and overlap, the color changes to a secondary color between the primaries. All text in the bubbles is listed in the text to follow. End ID]

Fair Warning: this post is about the climate crisis, I know I know, your about to scroll past it and not look and sit in your dread. But stop for a moment, and read, sit in your dread with me. Dread alone makes awful company, dread shared brings agency.
This capitalist environmental hellscape isn't gonna change unless we change our mindsets around consuming. Getting the perfect clothes and food isn't gonna be easy, it was Never easy before Amazon and fast fashion brands wrecked the environment and people's lives to get you whatever you demand within five clicks. If you want the world to change and be more climate conscious you're gonna Have to learn to sew and attend farmers markets and shop within your community. It is Impossible to have this level of convenience with out this level of destruction. You'll have to repeat outfits to weddings and swap clothes with friends and try growing your own veggies if you can. Simply taking down Jeff bezos wont do anything, he's a man that provided a service we are demanding, and even if we get rid of him someone else will just start providing the service because we will still be demanding it. Life's not going to be simple, we do have to cut back on things, and I can't afford to keep ignoring that. I can't keep acting like it's fine that we're still using the service.
Only 100 companies are responsible 71% of greenhouse gas releases. and we are building those one hundred companies every day that we refuse to change out our mascara, our diet, or our minds about this situation. The climate crisis is terrifying, and trust me, I find myself actively avoiding it too. 'm quaking in my boots about this, but that does mean we take off the boots and go home. it means we keep panicking, it means we do something. If your quaking it's because you should be.
If I could recommend one thing it would be a youtuber I've posted a couple times on here called Leena Norms she has a series Positive Panic that's all about ways we're handling, looking at, and experiencing the climate crisis and the anxiety it's causing.
