A Monoceros is a space unicorn made of a combination of pure stardust and dark matter. A Monoceros younger than 2,000 years old is called a Young One. A Monoceros older than 2,000 years old is called a Grown One. The leader and creator of Monoceroses is a mysterious being only known as the Old One.

After the end of the SMG4 series, Mono arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom after over a millennium traveling through space with their herd. They were soon found by SMG4 and Mario, and have since joined the Glitchy Gang, which they now consider their new herd.

Mono’s form on Earth, which they have dubbed their “space gremlin” form, is their current preferred form. They can shift back to their original unicorn form at will.

After being in space for so long, Mono is fascinated by all the new sights, smells, and sounds Earth has to offer. They love watching the local animals, eating sweets (especially ice cream), and playing life sim games.

Mono’s main form of attack is whips made of stardust they form from their horn. They can perform stronger abilities such as pure magic bursts and teleportation, but they quickly drain their energy. Mono also has a strong natural healing factor that quickly mends any injuries they take, and being partially made of dark matter can automatically negate outside magic attacks. It is thought that these two abilities make Mono immune to mental attacks such as brainwashing, but nothing is confirmed.

Much like other types of unicorns, all Monoceroses possess a powerful singing voice. It may or may not sound drastically different from their speaking voice.
