My mother is in Gaza, where every day is a struggle to survive. Some time ago, she was injured when shrapnel from nearby shelling struck her back. She tried to endure the pain for as long as she could, but her condition has become much worse.
Today, my mother is in critical condition. She suffers from unbearable back pain, extreme exhaustion, and her suffering is increasing with every passing day.
After examining her, the doctors told us that she urgently needs emergency back surgery. They warned us that delaying the operation could lead to serious complications and further deterioration of her condition.
The cost of this life-saving surgery is $1,000.
Thanks to the kindness of generous people, we have managed to raise only $188 so far. While we are deeply grateful for every donation, we still need $812 to reach the goal.
For my family, trapped in the devastating conditions in Gaza, raising this amount alone is simply impossible. Every day we wait means more pain for my mother and more fear that her condition will become irreversible.

6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe additional health complications. In September she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She has since been comatose and fluid is building up around her brain.
Medical staff have worked very hard to reduce the swelling. But despite their efforts, Souad's brain is now hemorrhaging (bleeding). The swelling has been too persistent, and the pressure is rapidly bursting the cells of her brain, causing bleeding. This will kill her. Little Souad is dying.
She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. However, in addition to the high cost of the medical evacuation, her family is also forced to pay high medical fees to the private hospital which is caring for her. It is the only facility in Gaza with the capacity to slow the deterioration of her condition, and these bills must be paid for her to live long enough for evacuation.

, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble.

We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times,
and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. His house was destroyed, his education was taken from him, and he has become the sole provider for his family of 8 through fundraising on tumblr. I want you to think about that weight. To be made responsible for the survival of your whole family as a teenager, and for this to depend on getting and maintaining the attention of people in the global north every day for years.
Israel has systematically worked to disable the population, and to destroy all means for disabled people to survive. Nader's father has experienced his health conditions become increasingly severe. He has stents in the main arteries of his heart due to blocked arteries. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer and needs surgery to remove a tumor. However, medical evacuation from Gaza is extremely expensive. Coordination costs can be over $12,000 per person, and Nader's father cannot make this journey alone.
Earlier today, Nader's father had to be brought to the Intensive Care Unit at their nearest hospital. He is now on life support. The systematic destruction of Gaza's healthcare system has left 94% of hospitals destroyed, and none of the remaining 36 are able to operate at full capacity. There are medicine and medical supply shortages. In this state, healthcare bills for this care are even more expensive. My family is homeless and struggling to find work so we can get out of this situation. I have a lead but it's taking a long time for them to get through the preliminary hiring process so I have no idea how long that could end up taking. In the mean time, we have no income and my wife and I have been dealing with recurring illness and pain every day while struggling to make ends meet. I'm burning out really bad and our support system is almost completely gone at this point.
At the moment, we need help affording temporary shelter, food, toiletries, medicine, and important bills (car/phone/etc.). We are falling behind on pretty much everything right now with less coming in and more being asked of us and we've been having to go to the doctor much more often as our health has been declining. We need rest to recover but there is just so much stress and it's so hot outside. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
