{ â for good measureâ
Tiffany knew she should take up an extra shift at the cafe. The extra pay would help her and her father with this month's rent. Money was becoming tight for the two. Her father had grown ill recently, and Tiffany tried to make ends meet as best she could. She didn't want him to overexert himself. He needed to rest to get better. She was sure that her father's sickness wasn't a cause for panic, but it was definitely a concern now that a week had passed. Her father was the only one she had. If what he had was deadly--no, she wouldn't let herself think that way. Tiffany was stressed out more than usual and found herself needing a break.
She walked into a familiar restaurant. Every week, Tiffany and her father would go to the restaurant, and Taemin would always be their waitress. Last week, her father was unable to come with her. The mental exhaustion kept adding up, and Tiffany found herself frequenting the place more often, even if she just wanted a small dessert. When she entered, Tiffany's eyes laid on Taemin, and she gave her a weary smile. Tiffany hoped that the girl couldn't tell that something was on her mind. "Hey. It's just me today."
