Antoinette had heard of Emily Thorne. The rumors had been making their way up and down Mahattan for weeks, but she had never thought that she would meet her in person. “Miss Thorne,” she said with a smile as she bade the young brunette sit in a chair in her office. “What can I do for you?” 

It was rare that Emily would venture in to Manhattan on business, but if she was seen to pass up a spread in one of the world’s leading magazines, there would be much talk of it back in the Hamptons. However, before even reaching the building for the magazine, Emily was being pulled in to another building and taken in to another office. That was when her eyes met Antoinette. She was slightly taken aback by the sight of the woman before her but she sat herself down with a smile in the chair.
