He had his whole discography to choose from and there were definitely other more positive songs that would sound wonderful with an orchestra (eg Sweet Creature, Ever since New York, even If i Could Fly etc). The songs he chose and the order they were played is was obviously purposeful and meant to tell a story.

Notice how for Meltdown the theme is pain, struggle, wasting time, perseverance but with love and devotion woven through.

Meanwhile TTT themes are more: love, adoration, introspection, hopefulness, with some of the pain and struggle sprinkled through.

They are like two sides of the same coin. It’s the same story, but from different perspectives. One is the wish to express your pain, to make it known that you are suffering, to be seen. The other is being at peace with your circumstances, knowing that better times are coming and choosing to be hopeful.

whereas in pop culture on stadium tours his art is for entertainment and for joy and therefore it has to be happier and it’s less normalized and less acceptable for an artist to make a tour where they sing depressive songs and call out the oppressive systems in place.

One of my good friends are a famous singer in my country. I've never talked to him about Larry and he's not in the fandom, but earlier this year when Louis' tour started, and ZmcD followed him around all over Europe, I asked him what his thoughts were about that as a musician. My friend was married until earlier this year. He said that his ex-wife has NEVER joined him when he's on tour. Because she has her own life and her own job. Obviously she has been to SOME of his shows, but she has always been backstage or at a VIP box, never in the middle of the crowd/near the sound booth. He also said that it's weird af that they're trying to pretend that she's staying in the tour bus with Louis and the band. He said "my band would almost find it disrespectful if I brought my ex wife for an entire tour. It kinda ruins the dynamic". He said, and I quote:

"There are two options here:

1. They have the most toxic and insecure relationship ever (Her having to be with him for everything he does. Even fan events like signings).

2. The relationship is fake."

Today I showed him the clip of ZK in the middle of the pit during Harry's show yesterday, and told him that she was in the pit for almost all of his Amsterdam shows. And he was honestly shocked. He was like "I thought this Zara girl was embarassing, but to stand in the middle of the PIT?" Just like with Louis and Zara, he said that NO WAY this is a real relationship. I told him a bit about their previous "relationships", and he said:

"So... Two guys that was in One Direction are both in fake relationships, and, from what I understand, have been in multiple fake relationships since the beginning of the band. Are we sure they're not in a secret closeted relationship?"

And I've never loved him more. I told him about Larry, and showed him some of their lyrics, and now he's fully convinced. "Why didn't you tell me all of this earlier? They are literally screaming that they love each other"

My friend has some friends in the music industry in London. He texted me this today:

I got curious, so I asked **** if he had ever heard about Harry and Louis being together. His answer were "EVERYONE in the music industry in England knows about Larry Stylinson. It's an open secret here, and probably in the US as well". Not that I doubt what you told me yesterday, but always great to get some more proof, right?
