PSA: if i see ANY of you, i truly do not give a fuck who you are to me, posting bl*ckh*wks content that’s not directly related to this scandal, i will be unfollowing you. i am done, if you’re still stanning ANYONE on that team, you are part of the fucking problem. you are actively participating in a fan culture that does not care about victims of sexual assault. this team has the largest fan base in the nhl and it’s because people like you refuse to take a stand against homophobia and assault both physical and sexual, and instead chose to believe that ur faves who have been accused and charged with HORRIBLE, disgusting acts are free of guilt. the h*wks management can try all they want to pretend like this isn’t the culture of their team but it fucking IS. we’ve seen time and time again, and if you’re still making excuses you ARE part of the problem. this isn’t “consuming problematic media” it’s being complicit in supporting an organization that allows abuse to thrive within. and it’s not okay. and if you participate in this, you need to do some deep thinking about why you stanning k*ne or t*ews is more important than caring about the well-being of people who have been assaulted and bullied.
