imagine being Lirin and Hesina and your assumed-dead son who you already grieved comes back alive and is one of the leading members of the reborn Knights Radiant.

Months later you come to terms with it and accept the new version of him, then some bald assassin tells you that little jaunt in Shinovar actually killed him for real this time.

Grieving process restarts all over again, maybe a decade (? we’re in Era 2 speculation territory) passes, you raise your 3rd son with multiple scars in your heart.

Then you find out your firstborn just casually became a Demi-God and replaced your God-like figure Jezrien and is actively giving therapy lessons to other Demi-Gods and is leading the charge against Retribution.

Self care is no joke and personally i’ve struggled with setting aside my own feelings and life to immediately tend to others.

Its a very loving and caring thing to do but please y’all, check in on yourself, love outwardly and care. Remain true to love and compassion, but don’t forget you are also deserving of such love! And that love you give to others should always go to you first, then others.

In simple terms, you must be “selfish” to become “selfless”.

And the best part is, the more love you give yourself, the more you can outwardly exude that to others!
