i mean that lrb being said, its really kind of hard to prove that shit, it's not universal, and also its kind of a "chicken or egg" scenario to me sometimes?? because i do think gender identities are constructed, and though i do think there is some biologically-informed thrust that becomes transness when reconstituted through our experiences in the social world, trans identities are also constructed, and i do think that it would therefore make sense that rejection from and lack of recognition by homosocial peer groups in your formative years would absolutely have to be a factor in that construction lol. like it would be actually miraculous if it werent a factor lol. youre being constantly told by people that youre supposed to be the same thing as that you are not that same thing-- youre that other thing. its not shocking that you might eventually be like "well that would explain a lot actually" lol
