Hm, there's someone there. You know, hardly anyone in this place can ever catch a glimpse of me and even live to tell the tale. Do tell me, now that we've encountered one another...
What should I do with you?
Hello hello and welcome to the blog! This is a fun little FNaF themed parody/roleplay account, from me, Emathyst9! This is based off my very much not canon version of William Afton, as a ghost that haunts the Pizzaplex (Actually the original idea was worse and never consistent but I salvaged what I could and made it slightly more logical)
It's also basically a return to roleplaying for me since I have a similar account on Twitter (that is unfortunately dead in terms of activity)
Design for this William is located here
Keep in mind all in character messages are in character and do not reflect my intentions, I do not condone harm or violence or anything of the sort
I am of course open to character interactions or even general ones, you don't have to be a roleplay blog
FNaF character interactions are welcome, but I don't mind other fandoms! (I just may be clueless about your character)
Asks are open and greatly encouraged as a form of interaction! Just bear with me on the response since I may take a bit to do so
Also I may be slow to respond in general since I can't see notifications when I'm not logged in
I want this to have plenty of fun satire posts, but I'm up for serious roleplay writing too as long as I can figure it out, but do be prepared to wait on that sort of thing, it takes some thinking
Interactions/Things to Note
Please nothing explicitly NSFW
Posts and interactions may contain mature/suggestive content, viewer discretion advised, said posts will be tagged to filter out
Out of character text/ooc posts will be indicated as such, or without colored text, replies and tags will also be ooc, so please remember to read the tags to avoid any confusion!

Nearby, you hear a strange noise. There's a frantic pattern of tapping that draws you toward the source. As you get closer, it's combined with a snarling, carrying frustration and aggression.
You manage to locate the source of this strange sound.
"Oh, you BLASTED thing. Work already!"
...That's quite interesting. It's William, trying to use a... smartphone? How'd he get that?
A man approaches the ghost with curiosity and a lack of caution despite their prior encounter. Whether he was too trusting of his own ability, or completely non-threatened by the other, was a mystery. With a look over his shoulder, he notices what he's battling with. Small, bright, clearly a technological device but unknown to himself as well.
"What are you doing?"
He inquires, walking around to face him and the device.
Somehow completely not expecting the response, the ghost jolted, fumbling with the device that nearly fell out of his hands. He clenched his fist, nearly finding himself smacking the other him in reflex.
He was surprisingly easy to startle, even if he tried to be on guard all the time.
William held the object away, acting strangely possessive, like he had to protect it from the other man.
What he almost let out was some warning about not sneaking up on someone, having been quite unpleasantly startled by the sudden voice again and wishing he wouldn't EVER do that again. Just to protect his ego.
Only to realize that he himself was a repeat offender of that, especially now, in death.
He sighed, as if steadying his breath a moment.
"If you must know...
Well, actually, I'm not so sure myself. These odd devices, occasionally someone drops one here or there." He waved his hand in gesture back and forth, the device within.
As he'd lurk through that colossal mall, William sometimes witnessed the two sided rectangles dropped by one of the night guards, or someone who just wasn't keeping up with their belongings quite well.
...Wait a second. But he'd seen it there, in his world.
All it took was a few steps into an unfamiliar corner to take him to the place not unlike the diner he ran in the distant past... To the office of his other self.
So, their realities had somehow overlapped.
Whatever gateway connected them, this William must have found his way through. If only he could ask how he got there... There would be no point when the ghost of William didn't understand himself.
"It's my theory that this is a sort of communication device. Similar to something that they used in the...
Ah, right. Technically, I'm from the future to you. So, you wouldn't know."
That version of himself surely hadn't made it to the 90s yet. The most he probably knew of a cellphone was the ones only businessmen like himself would use, particularly clunky compared to the flip phones he'd seen and at one point, owned.
Something his alternate past was completely unaware of... What an amusing little thing. So incredibly trivial, but enough for his ego as it was now.
William walks around him, trying to get a better view of the device. That thing cannot be a phone, how even? The ghost must be taking the piss... But what does it do? Its screen is bright, perhaps it works like a flashlight too, but a very useless one if so.
"Are you sure it's a communication device? It looks way smaller than you'd expect... And portable, without an antenna... How intriguing..."
He tries to reach the device without success, as the other is adamant on keeping it for himself. With a huff, he steps back, deciding to look around instead, screens turned off around him. Funnily enough, given the mall held a retro theme, it wasn't as far fetched from his point of view. He didn't know half of the magnitude of how things changed.
"The future, huh? Not much changed then... Well, aside from some tech... Do you actually know how to use that thing?"
Without an antenna? Well, of course. He knew nothing of how phones had been refined, all that impressive technology packed into a small handheld.
Though it did look boring compared to the past's clunky artistry.
William stammered as he clumsily took to protecting his pride. Over an... inanimate object that didn't even belong to him.
Petty.
"I- Wh-
Yes, thank you. It isn't the ones they had in my time, but-
Around here, there's plenty of opportunities.
To observe. Listen. Take in what's around you..."
In other words, on different occasions, he'd watched someone tap away at a similar device before, making it click and pop... but with no keyboard or number pad.
"Now, why don't you do that yourself? If you want to learn, then here. You press this button on its side, and tap it here, like..."
Click.
The lock screen display only flickered off, the brightness flashing to black.
"No- DAMN IT."
Click.
Nothing.
His claws clacked against the glass again.
William growled at the cursed rectangle, tapping furiously. The definition of insanity, supposedly, was doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
Well, he was certainly raving mad by now...
"Oh, I should have just CRUSHED this thing," he snarled.
He gripped the phone with a vice, stealing a look at the other self, watching him walk around.
He's not asking for help. He's not asking for help. He's NOT. ASKING. FOR HELP.
He wasn't that weak.
But the only reason William didn't just snap it in two was because he intended to solve this puzzle.
William listens to the ramble of the other man, nodding along as his gaze shifts from him to his surroundings. That until the ghost starts growling, he takes action before he can note what he was doing.
"Hey, don't- Quit that."
Maybe it was a side effect of dealing with a stubborn teenager on the regular, but William ends up scolding the ghost at his outburst, reaching for his wrist as a second nature to stop him from potentially crushing the device. He managed to hold him in place for a split moment before the ghost reacted and William's hand phased through it. With nothing to hold onto, he crosses his arms, stopping his walk to glare at him.
"You'll break it if you keep that up, then we'll both lose the chance to know more of it. Is that what you want?"
As his hand phased into nothing but an apparition, he smirked, gladdened that he was able to slip away from a sudden moment of weakness. He wasn't going to get caught like that again.
He snapped at himself, already getting a nerve struck. He was too easy to set off, with how so much of what was left of him consisted of pure rage.
"Don't talk to me like that."
How rude. He wasn't a child who didn't know any better.
"YOU underestimate me. I could have destroyed it if I so wished. In fact... I could have done more to you the first time we met. But..."
He drew close.
"Oh, but I didn't... did I?
I know my own strength better than that."
Having forgotten about the device choked in his hand, William failed to anticipate the next sound.
Crack.
A tiny fracture ran over the phone screen. It didn't break it by any means, but it showed that someone was fired up enough to lose control over his abilities. Well, he did do that in life, even if he'd actively deny it... like he literally just did.
That would be an interesting surprise for whoever this device DID belong to.
His eyes widened.
"...Oh dear."
His voice quickly shrunk as he floated back a few inches. That was... embarrassing.
William held back a groan as he clutched his messy hair. He stuck out a pointer finger, a dark violet flame enveloping the phone that behaved more like a magic aura, leaving it unscathed. He flicked the phone from his palm to his other self, unfortunately waiting for him to take it.
"FINE. Why don't YOU give it a shot, then? But who's to say you'll be any bit lucky?"
He better not be. It definitely wasn't because William's claws were too sharp. Definitely...
It took all his strength not to chuckle at the way the other failed miserably to prove his point, chirping the screen of the device. He puts on his best smile and speaks in a polite tone.
"Surely that's the case. You're clearly the epitome of self restraint, dear."
William's smile turns into a petty grin, but he holds back any additional retort, ready to get the phone. However, before he could reach it, he sees the violet fire envelop it, taking him by surprise. He gasps softly, quickly retrieving his own hand as he stares at the other's hand, the strange device forgotten for a moment.
"How did you do that?"
He tilts his head, staring at the other with caution. It might have fixed the phone, but fire was still fire, it wouldn't hurt to keep his distance. He stares at his palm for a while until realising he's still expected to take the phone. He does, grabbing it with his own handkerchief at first, only making direct contact when he confirms it won't give him a second degree burn. It wasn't even hot... How even. He stared at the ghost's face, as if it could magically give him the answers popping up in his head.
"Can you just- fix anything like that? Do you control time, is that why we're in the future?"
He really had to tease him about it. Of course he could be so rude... It's not like William hadn't been that way. Not that he cared about it though.
"Oh, hush it. So it was ONE little mistep. That... ugh, that can happen..."
As much as he absolutely despised making any kind of mistake... He needed some sort of defense, even if it was poor.
As he watches the incredulous expression of his alternate past, another smug, triumphant smirk curls onto his lips. It was also to be expected that he would still exercise caution before a disembodied spirit, something that could indeed be dangerous, depending on its nature. But it was certainly endearing, to see him draw away from himself out of any fear of being harmed. Such an enjoyable surprise...
It's William's own surprise that also comes to him, as he takes a look at the now repaired screen. He lifts it up, leaning his head in and narrowing his eyes for a better look.
His lips part.
"... Fascinating."
Controlling time? What a novel concept. He mumbled something under his breath.
"If only either one of us did..."
A hand flew up to his chin, curling under it as he pondered with a hum.
"Hmm... It would seem the... particles are bonded together once more. Well. That does resolve the issue, I suppose."
William was truly shocked by the picture. He'd used those flames before, intentionally conjuring them up when he'd conduct manipulation of objects, just like a poltergeist. They really were just for show, so... how were they able to alter the screen's condition? Not even actual fire would have done that...
His arms bent as his hands opened in a theatrical gesture, a finger raising on one of them as he winked.
"Now you know the saying, William. A magician cannot reveal his secrets.
Do you really want to spoil the show?"
Although... perhaps he would have told him, if he knew the truth of how they transcended the space-time continuum like that. Yet, William suspected it was not a boundary of timeline separation they'd crossed, but rather a rift in the existence of parallel universes. That particular science wasn't one he'd done much delving into... But he certainly couldn't ignore the possibility now.
Too bad his interest in the study was just a bit too late to actually pursue. He could no longer sit at his desk and fill up a number of journals over it with books in relation to theoretical sciences open next to them.
"Hm, nevermind that.
Come on, don't forget. It's not just you that wants to see if this will work."
William lightly clapped his hands to urge the other, with another utterance hidden under his breath, but this one biting with snark, and somewhat of a... snort.
His gaze returns to the device, pressing the buttons on its sides until the screen turned on to leave him staring blankly at it.
"Huh."
What was what the other tried to do? He touched the screen, but nothing happened at first. It took a few tries until he managed to sweep out of the block screen, getting to the main one, filled with different icons. Were those programs?
"It seems to be touch driven, this is incredible..."
He murmurs, swiping through the main screen as he inspects its interface. Then, he reaches a conclusion, walking up to the ghost once more to him what the screen displays.
"Seems like you were mistaken after all. This is clearly a computer, more advanced than I thought too... The implications behind its size are astonishing- What year is this again? I didn't think you would be farther than a decade or two... Well, you don't seem very old..."
William stops marveling at the device for a second to scrutinize the ghost's appearance. He seemed older than him, but not by much. From his cryptic past messages, he could discern he died and turned into this mystical creature, but how long ago was that? This man couldn't be 60, even less older than that, which arises the question: How long has he been wandering alone these halls?
As he frowns, trying to decipher the meaning of this situation, a pang of fear mixed with dread hits his chest with one clear inquiry: Is this his own fate too? Being left to wander as everything advances surrounding him, making no impact on the world? It couldn't be.
William creaked his head in intrigue as he watched his other self, staring at the now lit up screen. When it was finally faced towards him again, he leaned in to look once more, giving his own stare of confusion and fascination to the device.
Well, damn it. He really did get it to work.
...Oh.
It looked like an expanded version of the interface of a cellphone. William's theory was wrong? No, it was exactly right. Someone else still had no idea.
"Of course it's a computer. A cellphone just as that one is created to do more than provide means of communication, though that is the main function. For example, there should be a feature that allows you to play music, if you wish. Consider it a... built in Walkman. Do they have those for you yet?"
Should he tell the man that they were called MP3 players now? Or at least, the last time he lived? No. That might just spoil the fun, if he got to that point.
William raised a hand, reaching out to touch the screen for himself again. It had to work this time. Perhaps he wasn't using enough strength to physically affect the object? Then, if he just focused enough...
...Click. His claw only rapped against the screen.
Ohhh this really better have been a joke.
His hand gnarled up, head dropping as his teeth grinded together. A low snarl thundered in his chest, getting louder and louder, his fist shaking in fury, until-
He let out a loud sound that was half between a frustrated groan and a sigh. It sounded quite like one from a rebellious teen, one that might hurl the sound at someone scolding them from doing something irresponsible. Its strength sent a small current of air to the other, like that of a chilly breeze.
"Oh, look, so you figured it out after all. How intelligent you are..."
William's voice was rife with headache inducing sarcasm.
I KNEW I should have destroyed it." He clutched his fist, painting the perfect picture of a super villain rueing how they were foiled by their nemesis.
And now he was posed with another question of time.
Time... what a meaningless, dead thing it was now. Why did he have to keep asking one thing after another that William had no answer for? Why couldn't he have the answer? Did the world have to continue on, did everything have to change, all while he was stuck here, unable to know what world he even walked in, struggling to keep up even as he saw it move under his watchful eyes?
...How old was he?
With how eroded parts of his mind were, he felt like an old man. But when... when it happened...
He should have been in his late 40s, maybe? But at least a couple decades passed since then, the living William was right about one thing.
"I... I don't know." William's voice grew small, almost sorrowful. He couldn't stand saying it.
He really wished he did know.
Fortunately, his sudden weakness wouldn't stay long. He took in the analyzing glare given by himself, returning it with one even more intense. The other sure seemed to be unafraid of letting his gaze be so visible.
"... You're staring, love," he chided. If it weren't for the vulnerability that slipped out, he wouldn't mind it at all. As long as he returned the look unrelenting, then-
Wait.
...He heard it.
Well... 'hear' was subjective. William's senses no longer obeyed the conventional rule of flesh and blood, interpreting the world and its own vitals through signals to the nervous system. Now, he channeled frequencies. Electricity, sounds, anything in a wave pattern of energy, he detected it through his incorporeal form, connected with the signals on this metaphysical plane. They would trigger memories encoded by his apparition... or so he figured, simply by pondering it.
But it came to him. So... clear. So entertaining.
The steady beat in his past's chest suddenly stuttering, taking one wrong step, trying so desperately to right its stance as it stumbled, nowhere to fall into but his grasp.
He'd done it. The man was afraid. It was only a little... But, this small signal, it felt so... POWERFUL.
William sang to himself, his rugged timbre dropping deep.
"Oh dear...
Why, is something the matter?" Of course the ghostly bastard knew. He was skilled at deciphering his own emotion, when it was laid bare before him like this. But, to feign ignorance now... oh, it would be the perfect way to torment him.
"Don't worry, darling... You're not dead yet. But unfortunately, you did lose this one. Because now...
I can feel your heart racing."
William smoothed his touch over the other's chest, seeking the thump resounding in it. The proof that the mask began to slip.
Even he'd forgotten the device now, no longer interested in it. No no no, it couldn't hold a candle to how tantalizing this was.
The terrifying spectre brushed his other self's wavy mullet of hair back. He pressed his clawed fingers together, drawing them over the other William's soft neck. He smiled blissfully, taking in the return of the skin pulsing against his touch. It was only just a steady increase... but the idea of what it could be was overwhelming.
His head fell back just an inch, dark lashes sealing his dead eyes, as he sunk in to the emotion he'd squeezed out, letting out his own in an uneven sigh of relief. This twinge of fear... Why did it feel this way?
If he still had one in his chest, it would have made William's own heart flutter. He... was longing for it. Every frightened sound, every trembling word, every single little drop of fear given to him. Wasn't it just that? What else would he want from himself?
William met the silver green eyes again, drinking in the quiet glint of unease they held, just to slink around himself again, dry, wintery breath dancing on his skin.
Death loved to tease the living like this, didn't it?
"Shh, it's alright. You feel that shiver crawling up your spine? Just... surrender to it. Tell me, how does that feel, knowing... your fate is sealed?"
His chuckle resounded, except it was... melodious, for the broken register he held now. Having previously suffered damage to his vocal cords in an undead state, this unfortunately wasn't as flowing as he hoped for. But, there was still something hidden within. If one really was too weak, they might be carefully undone by the sentiment of the sound. It was uncharacteristic, for how he was now, to slowly dissect courage, piece by piece, rather than rip it to shreds... But this moment was reminding him... of who he once was.
William drew back around, scanning for every other sign of his living self's terror, only for something to suddenly strike his soul.
...Affection?
Twisted like a knot, for what reason he felt it. But, it was there, if that was even the word for it. How strange. He didn't need that anymore, right?
And yet... there was something exhilarating about this. Their couple momentary encounters so far were filled with tension that threatened to boil over in an instant... Only to settle. They were building up... something. But what? Wasn't William just toying with himself, to ignore his own insecurity?
What else would he want from himself?
"Oh, William...
Are you afraid of me now?"
The taunt was gentle, yet unnerving, with his crooked smile and those sharp, dangerous fangs filling it.
He didn't have to ask. But, if William could hear anything in response, anything that even clumsily tried to bury this truth, it would make it more irresistible.

A sudden chill fills in the room. Its presence feels... unnatural, with the temperature dropping enough to give you goosebumps.
There's a strange feeling that comes with it. Like... someone's eyes are on you, watching. Observing.
But, no one else can be seen, no other voice heard. Yet, an unseen spectre studies you quietly.
Something brushes against your shoulder from behind, that deathly chill in the air now meeting your ear even stronger. It intensifies in a pattern, like... breathing, but with the opposite of warmth.
"BOO," the voice whispers coldly. The hand resting on your shoulder tightened just a little.
He'd been watching you from the shadows, whenever he was able to slip into this other world. He'd caught some of your conversations with the other version of himself, rather intrigued by how you'd curried his favor, by how you were the one person that other self of his knew who did not exist in his own reality's past.
How he dearly hoped you'd catch a fright from his attempt to scare you... Whatever would you do now with another William in your presence?
(ooc: hi I hope you don't mind if I throw him your way I thought it might be fun to see what shenanigans could happen with this, I finally got an idea for how they could meet
Also I hope I didn't make it too long haha)
Feeling the chill in the air, David looks behind himself - looking for an open door, a window, or a presence - and finding nothing of the sort.
"Hmm."
He hums, before giving a shrug of his shoulders, slipping his jacket back on to account for the sudden coldness of the room and going back to whatever it is that he was working on.
When something brushes against his shoulder, David pauses.
At the sudden whisper and grasp, he flinches but remains otherwise quiet, save for perhaps a soft gasp.
"What the fuck?"
Those were the first words to leave his mouth the moment he realized there was some kind of ghostly presence right behind him. When the moment of shock passes, he raises an eyebrow.
"Er... are you a ghost or something?"
He questions. His eyes look the ghost up and down, searching for something to offer him a hint of recognition. The badge is perhaps the only one that clues him in.
"Huh. I guess they weren't hallucinations after all."
All he does is stare right back, wearing an enigmatic, almost... crooked smile. They do say when you gaze into the abyss, it gazes back. Yet, there was more to the dead eyes looking on than just a spirit devoid of life.
The figure bares his teeth, cackling as he floats a few inches off the ground.
"Oh dear, is it that obvious?" There was no genuine quality to the question, as he began to toy with the man.
He didn't take one step, but drifted along, slowly beginning to circle David as he studied him. He was an... anomaly. Never once in life did William ever see someone like him, which was a fascinating puzzle he sought to solve. Out of the countless possibilities of his own existence... Was there only one of this man? Or, was he the only one of himself to never meet him?
...Until now.
"Hm, such a wonderful thing it is, that we can finally speak to one another. David Connor, was it? Let me ask you something.
Did I SCARE you?"
The ghost kept his arms lain over his back, drawing in just a bit closer, finally breaking the circle he made. The cold continued to surround him, leaving an invisible trace wherever he lingered. He grinned maniacally, appearing rather amused by the little actions he'd taken, no matter how the recipient reacted. Though the sudden close proximity might have felt... uncomfortable, it did allow a chance to get a better look at him. Like... he wanted to be examined, questioned in turn, if only for it to trap someone in terror, from seeing how he looked.
Nothing gave away his name, the badge on his chest cracked and faded. Even if it had, it was never one that spoke truthfully of him. He'd been completely forgotten.
But, maybe his identity could be gleaned from the rest of his mysterious appearance. Was there something familiar to his green eyes, friendly, and yet, watching his target like a hawk? Or, was there a reason why he was so immersed in different shades of violet? And unnaturally so.
...Behind the rugged drawl of his voice, echoing with such a particular, familiar turn of phrase, was that a... British accent?
WE ARE BRINGING YOU SOMETHING THAT VIBRATES. PREPARE YOUR CROTCH
(yes it's an eridian note /ooc)
"...What?" His voice is dead flat.
William grimaces at the note. He's kind of grossed out just holding it. Yet, maybe if he still had blood through his veins (or also veins)... his face would have been blooming red.
"Is that your attempt at a... pick up line??? Or something?
Bloody hell, what's wrong with the people of this age," he mutters.

Btw because I don't know how long some stuff will take for me to respond to and because I do like sharing my thoughts on it for that reason I'm absolutely giggling at that ask
You wouldn't think he could still get that way but William is going to be really embarrassed over that
Btw because I don't know how long some stuff will take for me to respond to and because I do like sharing my thoughts on it for that reason I'm absolutely giggling at that ask
You wouldn't think he could still get that way but William is going to be really embarrassed over that
Reason why is I was drawing them in general but it's not going well but that did let me practice for drawing that scene too so onto that next if all goes well
"I consider myself a man of exceeding charm and splendor. So, it's no surprise that anyone would desire my company and time. It has indeed been given before to those worthy, and in those days, I certainly took my own... pleasure in it."
Looking off into the distance, secret reminiscence hides in his glance, a smirk appearing on his lips. There was likely a hidden meaning to the word, one that amused him to conceal within it.
"But seriously, do you still yearn for that now? You wish to commune with nothing more than a spirit? A hollow echo of who once was?
Such a shame it must be that I decide to reject any advance... What will you do about that, I wonder? Does the very thought of my being out of reach set a fire of WRATH into your soul? I hope it eats you up inside, how you're just a few decades too late..."
"Besides, I am FAR more than who you might think I used to be. Someone new, someone more powerful. Who's to say you can even handle that?"
For just a moment, however, a hint of disdain flickers in his eyes, as if this was not a choice he wished to make.

"The Internet nowadays, it's quite... fascinating what it has become. In just a few days of perusing its current database, I've seen there's more to it now than simple information hosting websites and discussion forums, like ones you would see in about... 1992, possibly.
Although, it's simultaneously particularly puzzling. What, might I ask, is... shipping? It certainly doesn't seem to be the package transportation related kind. And yet, the conversations regarding it seem rather... intense."
