my boy will byers deserves a happy ending no matter what and my boy mike wheeler needs that character development asap

they know each other since they were little kids, and will trusted him like nobody else in the world. the boy fell in love with his best friend, who admires and supports his art the most, who looked for him even though everyone gave up, who took care of him every fucking time...

and specifically for byler, will and mike have a different bond since season 1, and it developed good through season 2 (specially S2) and even S3, then the rift in this bond came with distance and the confusion of their feelings in season 4, but somehow it also made sense at the end because mike was allegedly going through a deeper crisis since he was in a straight relationship

AND NOW you're telling me that he just really never connected two points and had no thoughts about anything related to his best friend, the person he cares the most besides his family? that he treated will like that in season 4 for nothing? that the time they spent together those 18 months was just flat and monotonous? tf did they do with mike character?
