sort of wish i could just forget it happened but how can i it’s literally all we have forever now

#i’d need to rw the season in full to really gather and solidify my thoughts but i don’t even feel like looking at it what happenedd #i want to be able to have moments that i enjoyed i want to think clearly abt the parts i had issues with but it all feels so scattered #pre s3 i was worried abt how the writing would treat louis but i had convinced myself i was overreacting when in fact i apparently #wasn't worried enough. in a way this is worse than st5 being shit bc even tho tvl is better than that 1. the bar⬇️ 2. i was somewhat #prepared for st’s mediocrity even if i didn't realize just how bad it could get but this failed on fronts i didn't think possible #retcons/ignoring previous material on top of rushed plotlines/'arcs' on top of things that seem genuinely meanspirited. and more #even this being a supposed 'first half' won't undo certain things unless it was all a dream. which is never going to happen. so😭

season so odd that i felt compelled to flip through a physical copy of the vampire lestat to try and understand if i was missing something and that just made it worse

maybe watching television that is unfinished is just not for me LMAOA

#at least when smth has already ended years don't have to pass before i'm able to even find out that the next season/plot/character #arc/ending etc is kind of shit. even without 'binging' a show the material is still complete and can't be changed #with ongoing series (esp now where u have to wait twice as long for anything whether it's good or not) u withhold judgement on #how they handle/choose to go about certain things bc as long as it's not over there's still time to fix it or for things to make sense #like i do recognize tht the wait for new episodes (= time to get my expectations up) makes me more critical than i probably would #be about a finished show. and i know this is how it worrrks and that the fans that experienced older shows at the time #felt the same wayy. but it definitely is not only in my head either like they genuinely are not the same quality LOL #which doesn't mean that i suddenly hate entire series or anything but that doesn't make it not disappointing😭 and ok yea i'm not srsly #going to quit watching ongoing tv but can i get notice that it's going to get a little bad. just so i'll be prepared. thanks guys<3
