Kind Beasts // Rau & Will
Starter for: @will-rogers
Rau was growing frustrated with every passing second. It was strange for her to lose her patience and get irritated by anything, but this day had finally ran her patience out.
A difficult training session followed by the slowest lunch shift ever. Afterwards, she tried to go to the park to release some of her energy, but she noticed a loud yowling coming from one of the nearby trees. After a few minutes of searching, she found the source: a cat. It was a large and orange ball of fur, and it was holding on to one of the tree branches for dear life. He was high up, but Rau could see that his little hind legs were bloody and dangling to the side, unmoving, while his upper body was perched straight and stiff. He tried speaking to him gently, coaxing him to come down, but the creature was too scared and in pain, he kept screaming over her words and seemingly couldnβt hear her. The spirit then tried to climb the tree and failed miserably, as she slipped and fell on her ass the second both of her feet left the ground. Her climbing was miserable, she needed help. She looked around and approached the closest stranger, waving him down. βHey! Hi, I could use your help if youβre not too busy?β
Joe Cool had taken over Chewbarka's bed. It wasn't nice for the little one to make the big one sleep on the floor. It's why Joe Cool was back at the house with the rest of the zoo, and Chewie got to come with him to pick out a new toy. Will decided to take the shortcut through the park to let the big lug play around a bit too. He deserved all the good things. He was just about to call Chewie home when he heard the woman addressing him.
"What's up?" He placed his hands on his hips, looking for any sign of trouble. Everything seemed to be in order aside from a few leaves and sticks in her hair. Then he heard it. That oh too familiar yowling of the neighborhood tom cat who had no doubt gotten himself in trouble again. "Abraham, really? Again?" He sighed, walking towards the tree. "You think you would have learned last time when we had to call the fire department on you." Not that he had any room to talk about bad behavior.
