By any other name

It starts with Kunikida passing by a park when a kid calls him "big brother". On his day off, he trains kids in self-defense, and this was one of those kids. (He's an absolute sweetheart here hnnmhhh)

At that moment, there's another kid who climbed too high up a tree and was unable to get down, so Kunikida rushed to save him, helping him down and reassuring him that he was okay.

That's when he runs into Tanizaki who was also just passing by. He points out how kind Kunikida was to the kids and Kunikida says it's the role of those born earlier to guide the kids.

Tanizaki asks Kunikida what he was doing on his day off, and as it turns out, Kunikida was going to the fishing store to buy some supplies. They walk together and meet Naomi as well as Dazai who also coincidentally around the area.

Dazai starts following Kunikida, which annoys him (lol), saying that hearing Kunikida talk so passionately about fishing got him interested. He lets Dazai accompany him to the shop and excitedly asks him multiple questions about the things in the shop.

Dazai asks Kunikida to let him join on his next fishing trip and Kunikida instantly declines because he's convinced Dazai only wants to come up with ways to get in his way. Dazai continues to pester him the whole time (again lol). Kunikida ends up with a delayed schedule and suddenly Dazai vanishes without saying a word.

Odasaku-sensei shows up and when Kunikida tells him about what happened, Oda tells him that if Dazai was that much interested, maybe it would be a good idea to take him along.

And then Kunikida has a gayass flashback of Dazai's excited faces (I'm not even making this up), but still he refuses to believe that Dazai would let him spend a peaceful fishing day.

Finally, he returns alone to the dorm, and runs into Atsushi. He says that he was just happy to see Kunikida spend a day relaxing in contrast to the days when he's busy with student council work at school.

Kunikida firmly reassures him that he always makes sure to use his holiday to take it easy, but then reveals his fully detailed schedule because he wants to make the most of his holiday.
