Kalapuna - Danilla

Today is the second time my granny being hospitalized. I am worried. My parents are worried. I think the whole big family is. My mother called me and said: I just want her (granny) to be happy.

I finally have the time to see Java Jazz! Kinda sad since there will be no Snarky Puppy.

I choose cisitu’s angkot rather than dago’s, almost everyday. Why? You asked. Because it is more likely to be less traffic.

But Bandung’s traffic is not what I am going to discuss today.

I had been living in Dago Asri since October. I came back after two years abroad and several months staying at home + Jakarta. During my four years of undergraduate study, I always had an eye for this old man in front of a big house in Cisitu. White complexion, slanted eyes, energetic for an old man, wears khaki pants and long-sleeved shirt, a bucket hat (fishing hat / hiking hat), and toyobo shoes (anti-slippery plastic shoes).

But the major reason why he stays on my mind: His compassion for cats. Oftentimes, I saw him feeding and playing with not only one, but 3 or 4 cats. And found him followed by cats.

So… what? You asked.

A truly kind person by heart is seen not by how they treat you, but also by how they treat other people and living creatures. To see cats befriended him and he is to them, is a mutual connection only heart knows.

I like this old man even though I never had the chance to talk to him.

My second week going back to ITERA Lampung to teach Petroleum Geology and Well-Logging, along with Pak Bambang (Head of Faculty-Geology ITERA). Overjoyed! 😊
